3-4 years ago maybe... but cult hero status doesn't guarantee a good signing... as Super Chrissy is finding out to his cost!

 

I think he could be decent enough to play a back-up role, but I'm not sure what his wages are like.

All this being said, I read in an interview him saying that he will probably retire if he isn't playing for Brighton this coming season.

 

No no no no no no no no no no no... This would be a massive backward step IMO.

 

Just had a chat with Andy Reid as he was coming through Gatwick Airport.

I asked him the following:

Franco - Where you playing next year?

Reid - I haven't made my mind up yet.

Franco - You wanna get yourself back down The Valley mate.

Reid - i enjoyed myself down there, maybe if they get promoted.

Incidentally he looked trim and as fit as a flea. Deffo one former player that I'd have back in a heartbeat!

 

Just won the league one title- nothing wrong with a bit of squad depth.

 

At 36, i think not, unless maybe in a player coach role.

If daily and doc are gone we do lack some experience in the dressing room.

Deffo not Redemption... However, can you imagine the damage Reid would do in League One...!!

He would automatically become the best player in the league by a mile if he was prepared to drop down (never going to happen though).

IMO any team in the Championship who can afford him ought to be breaking their necks to bring him in...!!

Honestly mate there weren't an ounce on him. I've met him before and he never struck me as particularly lardy then. I think he gets a bit of unfair press about his weight...!!

 

So not fat compared with... like... Tomas Brolin in his Palarse season... or John Barnes when he played for us... or actually genuinely not fat?

I think cos he's really short that he just looks stockey in baggy shorts and a baggy football shirt.
