Are we still discussing this? People should have the freedom to put whatever they want into their bodies as long as they don't negatively affect others by doing so. I wouldn't be shocked or outraged if the government decriminalised all illicit drugs.

The only reason the statistics show 80% is because most other deceases of people eradicated their lives before they got to the care homes. Life times in the pits or working with asbestos, and what contribution from leaded petrol or salt in the diet or even environmental pollution from decades of burning fossil fuels. How many lives were lost that didn't get to those care homes because they were killed by a motor vehicle. How many people died of cancer non smoking related. How many people's conditions were blamed on smoking but were to do with incompetence of the medical profession, it's an easy get out clause.

Acts of a pious Godhead SHOULD not precipitate that ppl have a dream to end their life in sanctity of a Controlled environment such as warm comfortable family home with a loving wife , blazing fire & 2.4 children. And you cannot ask a person whom has died, in a particular manner in which you describe above , how they wished their life to be any different. Stop using a semantic allegory, that ppl are dying, generally, and offer up a definitive cause to stop. and put an END to Death.
