Lallana wouldnt become the focal point of such. No one would. It would be as much an interchangeable front three as last season.
Teams work best with a focal point. Doesn't have to be a big target man, but someone that is going to be your main CF and be in the box. Problem with Spain's "false 9" thing is you often get to the edge of the box with no one in there and you have to come back and work your way through again. I don't like it, personal opinion. If we were interchangeable lat year without a false 9, why do we need one this year to be just as interchangeable? Sturridge, Remy, Sterling, Lazar tend to move around and be able to play in different positions anyway so they will move around naturally.
Can, Markovic, Remy, Lallana and lambert are all good. ... squad options at the moment. I'd still favour a starting top 6 of: -------Stevie/Lucas---------- ---Sterlo----Hendo---Allen-- ---------------------Couts---- ----------sturridge-----------
Can can slot in that spot there once he can show us what he can do. However id be a little wary of a trio of Gerrard Heno and Can - could be a little lumberous

A false 9 is not that different to a diamond. Its just the strikers start wider and make bent runs inside and the diamond head is often starting further forward.
It's a balanced attack-oriented team, however it is weaker than previous season's by a margin equal to Suarez minus Markovic.
That's the point though, we've signed better squad players, but they are still average. We are a weaker team?
A weaker team, a stronger squad. However, we can play to a different set of strengths this season. For instance, look at the two formations we proposed. With yours, we destroyed arsenal (Suarez instead of Markovic) and with mine we destroyed the spurs (suarez instead of sturridge). I proposed t a formation where the drop in quality is not as large and which offers more protection. With luis gone, so goes the gung-ho 3F idea too imo. We go back to basics.
Is Borini off then or are you just messing around about him wanting to stay... were is it being reported that he doesn't want to leave? Remy in for 8.5mill and Borini out for a downright miraculous 14mill is great business. Remy's not top class but he's a marked step up on Fabio who although he seems to have the right attitude just doesn't have the talent and ability. Hope that Remy isn't the last striker we sign though, Sturridge, Lambert, Remy doesn't sing the magic in excess of 30 goals per season to me. Needs a top class addition to be viable in all competitions. Wouldn't say we can replace Suarez but we need to fill the hole so to speak.
But those are three good strikers but I think BR will make the big signings on the wings, midfield, or in the back.
