Nads... Why have Real let this lad go? Looked immense when playing last year.

Is this Rodriguez coming in? Surprised that they've left themselves so short in terms of out and out forwards.

I'm not sure Real ever fancied him mate, was a bit of a surprise when all the interest came, so they hoyed him in a few times to lift the price.

He's decent mate, but he's not anywhere near consistent Real standard, his movement ain't great.

He's like Benzema, without the phenomenal positional sense. Sadly for him, that is what makes a good striker great.

Fair play. Decent deal for Juve... £16m. Symptomatic of that league. Have to get cast offs from England and Spain nowadays.

I wonder where they stand on J-Rod and Falcao. Linked quite heavily to Falcao earlier in the summer. I wouldn't fancy him or Cavani after they made those mercenary moves to be honest.

What - like 3 of the best midfielders at the world cup in Cuadrado, Vidal and Pogba?

And before you say it Pogba wasn't a cast off, Utd were desperate to keep him.

I've never rated Cavani that highly, but Falcao is a ****ing beast of a player mate, he was 27 when he moved, he's now set, Atletico would never have sold to Real. I reckon this was all planned, the year in France.

Rodriguez they will want, but they'll have to pay, a ****ing hell of a price as well.

To be fair mate, Cuadrado went to Lecce as an unknown and needed time in Portugal to develop, Vidal was at Leverkusen and wasn't especially high profile, even if he was rated.

They don't take big names in their prime to Italy often now, that's not to say some don't develop into them.

Pogba was always gonna improve, but he stunned me in the World Cup, I'd never seen that level in him.

Obviously not every single one of their plays is a cast off.

Not those three but others like like Tevez, De Jong, Prince Boateng, Morata, Muntari, Kaka, Essien, Reina, Vidic, Cole, Higuain, Albiol, Maicon, Gervinho...

Aye but Real weren't all that interested in keeping him mate. An unbelievable player all the same. That's the point though. The best teams in Spain/England don't need the players that Italian clubs build their team around.

Just because a player is Real Madrid qulaity hardly automatically categorises them as a 'cast off'.

If Real Madrid, Barca, Atletico, United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and so on cast someone off it categorises them as a cast off.

Kind of like if I get punched it categorises me as punched.

So if oyu say we don't want a player, its the same as when one of those teams don't want a player?

I can't argue with your logic like.

But Indi's point is fair, Ozil's a cast off, Mata, Kroos, Thiago Alcantra, Higuain, Ibra (Barca).... All players who didn't wanna leave

I'll have some of that like!

Most definitely mate. I wasn't saying the players were bad. They're ****ing class. I was suggesting a gulf between the clubs at the top of the italian league and the English/Spanish leagues.

Yeah, if we don't want a player we're making a cast off of them. Difference is they'll likely go to Stoke instead of Juve.

A player who wants to stay, and is forced to leave, is a cast off by definition.

And the big 3 of Spain, England & Germany literally **** all over the Italian leagues long hair.

What I was trying to say. Although that rules Thiago and Kroos out of your list!
