OT England v India 2nd Test

England win the toss and choose to bowl on a green pitch. Anderson should be fired up.

Need 3 or 4 wickets before lunch.

 

Strange ok green wicket but next two days sunshine, like you said they got to make most of it quick.

Twice in this test match we had the Indians struggling & each time let them off the hook as being unable to finish them off & now look likely to lose it.

 

We'll need to to get anywhere near, can't see us getting over 300 on this pitch...

 

These two need to bat properly, but 7 to 11 should go on the attack if we are to have any chance.

Root & Ali and 7-11 should all play their natural game.

There is enough batting talent there to score 200 runs in 90 overs, but a little luck would be nice.

 

Not sure we do actually disagree. Prior, Broad, Stokes and Plunkett are all naturally attacking players, and they should play in that way. We won't get there blocking and nudging the odd one or two.

 

We do, with 90 overs, there is no need for all out attack.

We need 1 or 2 players to hold up one end while others attack with little cameos.

Broad is a talented batsman who can hold up one end very well, as is Prior
