They say that one mans meat is another mans poison and it may turn out that way for Steve Morison as it appears that the sheriff likes him and is also impressed with Hunt so we are only on the look out for one new striker to replace Ross
Gradel has been mentioned too we are supposed to be after him .I personally liked the lad and he would be what we need to balance the side as we are very short of class wingers .If we sign Max I expect that Poleon will be sold or loaned out for the season
The fullback Beradi from Sampadoria has signed a 2 year deal and is expected at TA on Monday so that means we have 5 new faces
To be shown the door if its wide enough will be fatty Kenny and probably NorrisBlackman and his partner Ranger have been officially shot out of town thank goodness
Cellino stated he will buy ER in November let wait and see I for one am pleased we have a sheriff with vision and not one who is taking us for idiots

    Morning mike <ok>

Just saw the quotes about Morison and Hunt myself, if they're showing some quality then great but I don't want them to stand in the way of signing a replacement for Ross, neither are good enough to fill that void.

As for Gradel, twitter is falling over itself with excitement about him "coming home", it's probably lazy journalism to be fair - same as the Becchio rumours

Good morning Damned I think that gradel would be a great aquistion you matbe remember after the Norwich match which was televised when he came on a sub I said get him straightaway infact I wrote to Popey about him and we corresponded for months about Leeds. lost touch after my illness but I have spoken to Adam since when I suggested getting Smith from Oldham with him that day was Oggie and Hutch an old friend of mine who was assistant manager at Ipswich I believe he is working with Danny at Barnsley now they thought I was mad to suggest it .So I was very pleased that have written to Leeds about the lad they signed him!

We should be paying you as a scout!

My main concern with Gradel coming back isn't so much about his ability, but the fans. The expectation that would be placed on him to be our saviour by a lot of our fans would be huge and I'm not sure he could ever live up to it. Always difficult for a player who had such influence to go back to a former club

Don't be getting yourselves all worked up lads. Gradel or Becchio will not be back. Our new wage structure will not suit them

I thought that at first, but then again Morison and Hunt are on high wages, and we're apparently keeping them.

Read somewhere Morison's on £17k pw

Forza I have just had a thought maybe Cellino is sending out a message we are not bothered about pushing Hunt and Morison out of the door just yet this may encourage clubs to ask about them, there is such a thing as forbidden fruit this man don't forget is a genius

Morning all. If Hunt and Morison are showing in training what persuaded someone to buy them in the first place, good luck to them. Maybe a change of style will suit them. But we'd need to see that on a Saturday/Tuesday for the fans to be convinced. For the record, I'd be hard pressed to believe that Morison is on £17k a week or that anyone on here really knows what he and any of our players earn.

On Gradel, purely from a footy perspective he gives us what we lacked last season, namely a pacey winger who will cause havoc in opposition defences. If the finances are okay and his wage demands can be met without upsetting the financial applecart, get him in I say.

Do you really believe Cellino would match Gradels wage demands? Not a chance. I'd welcome him back but really can't see it happening. Just because Hunt and Morrison are on high wages doesn't mean Cellino he wants to pay new players the same. He didn't give them their contracts and as he said you can't lower wages. I expect he is giving them a chance as they have shown willing and it would probably cost more to get in new strikers. I doubt they would be easy to move on if he wanted them out.

Elsewhere I'm hearing that we're allegedly looking to sign Jesus!!! Lionel Jesus Vangioni to be precise. Heaven help us, the lack of negativity that might result in such a signing would be scary.

I was thinking exactly the same, he is a few years older, has he lost any pace? Personally I think we should look elsewhere for the exact reasons you state.

Can't see us getting a work permit for him
