I disagree AP, I doubt many Israelis would consider kids to be enemies. I can't speak for Biton and i'm not suggesting you are a knee jerk reactionist, i'm talking of the sort of twat from the GB/Ultras etc who seem willing to ignore the many atrocities carried out by the people they are happy to praise. Biton made a private statement and I supect he's removed it not because it was meant to cause offense, simply because it has.
No. Just their zionist armed forces are pure undiluted evil, plenty of Jews and Israeli Jews think killing kids is evil too
The many atrocities carried out by Hamas are not the fault of over 250 civilians butchered by the IDF So far the only Israeli casualties have been 1 IDF Sargent during the ground offensive I used to back Israel on this subject but this is now just sheer nazism
You know diddly squat about the IDF, that much is clear. It's a force made up of some professionals and mostly national reservists, normal Israeli kids who have no choice but to fight, they don't turn into evil Zioinist child killers just by donning a uniform. Or do they?
If you had a bulletproof house and some nutter was firing a machine gun at you every day, would you ignore it as there's only a slim chance you'd be hit?
They are turned into remorseless killing machines who pick on a massive concentration camp with no army navy or airforce to call it's own There is defending yourself and then there is ripping the absolute pish
Away and talk nonsense. People say that about just about every army and I know for a fact it's not true. You don't know who's died in these Israeli attacks and neither do I, I doubt anyone does apart from the Israelis. As for picking on defenseless people, with no army or navy, who do you think has been firing all those missiles, The Russians?
Gaza is the most densely populated place on earth per head and the IDF are bombing houses beaches and funking hospitals Turn off the BBC ffs
These threads get tiresome quick enough. Anyway I don't think we can buy an Israeli lad and then say to him "btw, don't be outwardly Israeli, our fans don't like that" - it's as bad as the anti-Catholic mob across the city.
"Sign here Nir, but remember and keep yer opinions to yerself" Open to all? nah, must be another club I'm thinking of! ...
The point I'm making is not that he meant to cause offence, merely that he did, and as a result people are allowed to question the wisdom and timing of his posts. He's entitled to his views, but they're not immune to criticism. I also totally agree that a section of the Celtic support are entirely hypocritical on this area. Personally, I'd prefer ALL our players to stay clear of "controversial" public displays of their views on most topics.
I agree that his views are not immune from criticism, but I think the problem is that people were not arguing on behalf of themselves "Mr Biton, I wholeheartedly disagree with your opinions" they were arrogating the right to speak on behalf of the collective "get tae **** out of our club".
And, perhaps not coincidentally, I'd bet a lot of the people that took that line are likely to be the "ooh ahh up the ra" brigade.
