Just getting a bit worried about how many changes we're making to our team/squad this summer. I know we needed some new blood to improve the first team and I know we needed to sell a few, but you're looking at 10 new faces now at least by the end of the window.
The thing with defenders is they should, in theory, get better the longer they play together. Maybe this is how Brod is thinking? Johnson is a joke though.
We haven't made many changes to the first XI yet (not additions at least). Lambert is backup to Studge, I don't think he will start many. Llama will be backup to Coutinho/Sterling- and rotate in. Can will probably alternate with Gerrard. I suspect Lazar Marky is for first team.
so long as a large chunk of the main team don't go its fine. The others can work they way into the side over time which keeps the consistency and harmony going. Plus, we were always going to sign a few despite what Brod said due to the extra CL demands
Still in the market for a left back for sure, even if we have missed out on everyone we've gone for so far. If left back is covered hopefully we can just play Flanno instead of Johnson.
We should be after a RB and LB imo. I rate Flanno and Enricky but we can't rely on one guy for each position.
Agree completely but can't see Johnson being completely dropped, so imagine he'll at least be second choice RB, Brod still seems to rate him.
I agree... although it's funny how that sometimes works. Arsenal lost Henry and started playing better. When Gerrard was our main player- we'd play better when he was injured... Who knows- maybe without Suarez we'll follow that same wonky logic and play better. I think full backs would be the easiest way to strengthen our first team. We're not going to improve on Suarez and it doesn't look like we're going to pursue any marquee ready-made talent. It's make-your-own time for Rodgers.
I like Borini and think he has potential but £12m to £14m is good business for us. Remy will be £8m and outscore Borini this year.
I must say... of all the rumours I've seen recently, Isco is probably one of the more exciting ones... even if he's in a position we have already too many players for.
