After some of the defensive horror shows of last season, did Under Armour think it was wise to have yellow streaks on our kit? Judging by the promo shots, even the players are unimpressed... please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
The home kit would be alright, if a little lazy, if it didn't have the downward curving blue lines above the Under Armour and Spurs logos. As it is it looks like a cycling jersey. Away kit is a good one though.
You scared me then! Then penny dropped about modelling the shirt and after a hot cup of tea calm was restored.
Its a very poor attempt at a tribute to Bill Nick It is the same design as the gates on Bill Nicholson Way and has 'Echo of Glory' etched into it
The rationale behind the tributes are here http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/new-kit/ It explains why we have the 'piss' tyre track on the away kit
The goalkeeper kit's horrible. Home and away are fairly average, but I'm not particularly keen on any of it.
Home is horrible. Away is pretty cool. Goalkeeper's is certainly eccentric! Not sure if I like or not. Regardless I'll still end up buying one, even though I never/ very, very rarely wear a Spurs shirt at games, find football shirts really uncomfortable to wear these days.
Why the club keeps using the 'Echo of Glory' line, I have no idea. It means absolutely nothing taken out of the context which Billy Nich used it. In fact, it's almost as if the club have accepted that 'echoes' of glory are the nearest we are likely to come to, and true glory is unattainable.
