watched honorable woman last night.... HATED IT what is it with britsh drama. it was like wallander... meandering with characters ...who... talked... so.... slowly... like they were on heroin.. f'n dull sorry.
Up to episode 4 so far. Its ok TV but nothing thrilling sadly. The Strain is a new series from FX and pilot was interesting and a tad disturbing.
I love it, brilliant stuff imo Maggie Gylenhall showing what a top actress she is and a great story without all the usual (sorry) American spoon fed storyline.
Well whether or not it's storyline seeing as I jumped in at episode 3 knowing we'd have to catch up F me it was just so dull, why can't they talk normally? Everyone was just slow and soft and boring and you had to turn the tv right up to catch a word Seriously it reminded me of wallander that Branagh does.... Can't be doing with that dreariness sorry.....
Watching the remake of evan almighty right now. The one that stars Russell crowe. Not many laughs so far.
Anyone been watching the "From Dusk till Dawn" series. I thought I would give it a look, as I remember liking the movie as a kid, but jesus this show is ridiculous. First couple of episodes were decent but then it draaaaaaaagged on and by episode 5 I wanted to slit my wrists, so stopped. The chick that plays Satanico (Salma Hayeks part in the movie), is smoking hot and the two main actors who play Seth and Richie are decent (Clooney and Tarantinos parts) but I just cannot take the bad guy seriously at all, mainly because he is being played by Wilmer Valderama (aka Fez from "That 70's Show"), I just keep expecting him to say "Good Day......I said Good Day!!" In short, if you are a fan of the movie it may be worth a look, but it does get rather dire after half a doze eps imo.
Watched Ep 3 of The Honourable Woman, I love it (don't listen to MITO) Mrs luv is off out on Friday I need some good films, not been much out lately!
Theres a decent 720p rip of Captain America : Winter Soldier floating around online if you havent seen it. It is technically a screener, which I usually avoid like the plague, but the picture and sound quality is the best I have ever seen for a screener and its very watchable.
I watched it last weekend but didn't get round to seeing the new one. I fancy watching that but all the copies I can find are rubbish.
♫Jeepers Creepers, Where'd you get those peepers? Golly jeepers where'd you get those eyes♫ Silly film but watchable.
There is a great Italian film called Suspira, its about murders in a girls school. Quite badly dubbed into English, but it has several great moments which make you jump out of your seat. Its not especially gory but is a really well made film. I first saw it at The Scala on Lime St when they had sensoround, basically a surround sound system in the cinema. Standard now but in those days, seventies/early eighties, I think, it added to the creepiness of the film. Tried to buy it on DVD but hard to get at a reasonable price.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is very very good. Up there with Edge of Tomorrow as one of the best Hollywood action picks this year. Koba is a devious little batard.
