    An ex city player Rob Mcdonald (from 74-79) managed AS Trechin from 2007-2008. There's a link to Hull at least!

    If of course trencin qualify...

    Return flight from Stanstead - £217
    Depart flight - Thu 31 July
    06:30 STN –09:45 BTS Direct 2h 15
    Return flight - Fri 1 August
    10:05 BTS – 11:30 STN Direct 2h 25

    Cost of travelling to/from Stanstead, add on a train from/back to Bratislava from Trencin, match ticket and staying somewhere on the Thurs night... quite a costly one I would have thought

    Plus more than likely going to get stabbed by them fans.

    All that weighed against our first ever game in Europe... hmmmm

    The ground might not look up to much and I know its a football thread but this place has some archaeological beauties (of the buildings kind) notably this Church. And yes I know I am going off topic again.

    Another option is going to Vienna or Budapest.

    Looks like getting from any airport to Trencin is costly, you're looking at around £100 for a taxi, it would probably be best if everyone who wants to go, goes as a group and hires a coach.

    Just looked and we can hire coaches from Bratislava airport to Trencin for £10.50 each return. Think that's the best option. Similar prices from Budapest and Vienna.

    Don't know what kind of support they have but according to Wiki their ground only holds 4,500, wonder what allocation we will get.

    if prices are going up try deleting your cookies on your browser as visiting multiple times can raise prices not sure if that still works but it used too
