Agreed .................. I reckon he's looked between the lines and come to the conclusion .............

Being managered by Harry is cool ( old memories )
Living in London as opposed to Manchester & most other places is cool.
Still earning respectable coin .......... cool.
In regards to the team, able to steer the ship and influence .............. that's positive and cool.
Still in the PL ................. no unknown details from other competitions ............... PL is cool.
Can still mix with his mates but in a more 'hip' environment .......... cool.

Moving to Queens Park Rangers ............... totally cool!

Whilst I was a bit dubious when the talk of signing a (another) 35 year old first surfaced, I was impressed by Rio's interview. It seems fairly certain he could have earned more elsewhere. Also, he seemed genuinely enthused about playing for QPR. The icing on the cake (very thick icing) will be if Rio's signature encourages Caulker to follow suit.

I wasnt really behind this signing TBH at first but now im ok with it.
He will obviously bring in the experience and leadership thats needed as well as some solid proffersionalism. Doesnt matter how much he plays TBh as his influence will be worth his signing on fee alone. f it brings Caulker then he's a good buy.

Personally I'd like to have seen us go for a younger fitter CB and players in general. I cant see both Hill & Dunne getting many games TBH. Thats what confuses me, surely (as much as we all love them) one or both should have been let go?

I've never been a Rio fan and he always gives the oppo a chance, but, he's been there and done it all & has the trophies to prove it.
Im getting behind him in the hope he proves all the/us doubters wrong. Onece he pulls on the shirt, he has my support<ok>

I think Frank McLintock was 34 when we signed him, a man who had been a fixture at a big club for a decade. He turned out alright, because he was a top professional who loved playing football. I think Rio may turn out fine, but I hope he is the only old boy Redknapp is allowed to sign.

O føkk it is true. Arry must be deterrmined to have the oldest team in the PL. I'm afraid Rio will be a Park repeat, and when we already have Dunne and Clint, a 3rd ageing, slowing warrior seems a joke. But will live in hope.

As someone else has mentioned elsewhere, he could well be our player of the season in a years time. We'll see. I don't think he will be a Park repeat.

The more I read about the deal and hear from Ferdinand himself, the happier I feel about this signing. The man just wants to play, and, if he stays fit, will be a massive asset.
