http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/489531/Hull-hit-jackpot-after-Assem-Allam-s-Tigers-The deal is not dependent on any rebrand and is for Premier League matches only, with the Tigers due to announce a different sponsor for cup and Europa League matches.
Interesting, I wonder if the third kit and cup sponsor will also be released today, or if it will be given it's own release date later?
For me this begs the question does that mean that the 2 shirts already leaked will also have 2 sponsors on them (prem and cup)? Also will fans be able to buy (If they have more money than sense) all 5 shirts (Home prem sponsor, Away prem sponsor, Home cup sponsor, Away cup sponsor and 3rd cup sponsor).
It conflicts directly with another article from yesterday which said the base fee in £1.5m per season which rises with progress in the cups. Strange.
What's interesting is the whole name change "debacle" seems to have still worked in the clubs favour. Maybe its true that there's no such thing as bad publicity. Certainly hasn't hurt us in gaining a new sponsor. What's also interesting is who the other ones will be of course.
Happy, I think the opposite. I think there are better known companies who wouldn't want to be associated with it, it's all getting frowned upon by most across the footballing community. However I do think for a relatively unknown company like 12 bet it could be a slight positive. It has been bringing around some extra publicity, which is perfect for a company trying to get itself known. Although not enough of a positive to reflect in the price or anything.
The ****? You can't disagree with me, we're brothers in arms, we're part of the same clique, we are tarred with the same brush! Don't tell me the only thing we have in common is we both despise Dutch? Seems a pretty crappy basis for a friendship I still think we're not attractive to "big name" sponsors, and to change that we need success, and to get success we need money, lots of it, and a better profile, and money. Kind of a vicious circle aint it. To get out of that, you need some radical thinking.
See I initially thought "12 Bet" then thought it's probably "1 2 Bet". Based on experience in working with pongos, I always referred to "Fifty Two Field Royal Engineers" even though they insisted it was "Five Two Field Royal Engineers". If I really wanted a reaction I'd called them "The 52nd Royal Engineers". Oh how we laughed. Carmine? Thoughts on this?
Not sure if posted, but the confusion continues.... On the 12Bet homepage it mentions Hull City Tigers, but has the great old badge, not the new 1904 one, bet Mr Allam is fuming! lol http://eu.12bet.co.uk/Landing.aspx
Pics released today have the sponsor photoshopped on, so presumably it was only sorted out recently. Hence the sudden updates this week. I reckon the extra sponsor is still to be decided too, which is why we haven't seen that or the kit it'll be on.
