*scratches head* there's all this talk about how Cork is undervalued/underappreciated etc. is there a single person who doesn't think he's valuable or who doesn't appreciate what he brings. I certainly haven't heard any at games, or seen any on here.

If anyone is undervalued or unappreciated by some, it's actually Wanyama, not Cork.

Is this Cork a new transfer target?

So Paulinho, yes or no or Guly in disguise?

Exactly, anyone who went to Fulham away would have taken part or can testify at the grief Wanyama got and the massive cheer for Cork at half time

"I find the First World war fascinating, not too sure about the IWM refit. I have been told we are in for Ings and it's looking positive, he says he is happy (in public), but like Lallana, maybe he just loves the sweet sweet taste of loyalty bonus and signing on fee. After all, back in the day, i was told Beauchamp, and we ended up with Marsden!"

Cork is absolutely key. I remember being at Fulham away, 0-0 at HT, completely flat. Cork comes on, we instantly flowed much better and were linking up. Ran away 3 - 0 winners.

Not saying he was responsible for the win, however his influence on the game was huge. IF we could get him and Wanyama/Schneiderlin in the same team in a 433 it would be fantastic. But then again where's the room for Davis, JWP, Reed etc. Damn.

I'm pretty sure the thing that changed that game was Lambert being terrible first half and incredible second half. Cork did as he always does - pretty good but not exactly spectacular.

Cork is okay. Let's be honest. Okay is the right word for him.

Cork isn't a 'spectacular' player. Yet that's what makes him so good. He's the sort of player that will go a bit unnoticed on MOTD, but being at the games you can really appreciate what he offers to the team.

    Fulham's just an example.

His asisist for Lallanas goal against Newcastle summed him up for me. Ran 'Forward', beat a man, then went into a tackle 100%. Loved it.

I think he's one up from okay. He's decent and he's reliable. Exactly what you want from a backup midfielder.

Poch said they played patiently in the first half and then pressed on in the second, which worked because Fulham actually came out of their own half and because after about 55 minutes their aged midfield tired. Yes, Cork made a difference, mainly because in contrast to Vic who was way off the pace as he was returning from injury, he didn't keep losing the ball.

Don't get me wrong, I like Cork and he has value but as a squad player/rotation. Morgan, Vic and he cannot play together if we want any kind of penetration. I was excited to see them all line up, as they did at Swansea away, but we were severely hamstrung attacking-wise - our only means of attack was through the full backs.
