Aside from the dissolving nonsense, both sides are plausible. So, ignoring how ridiculous this supermarket dissolving kit is, how was she disposed of so quickly? If the police are so convinced, how utterly **** are they to not be able to find her, or any evidence? And, and this clinches it for me, how have they managed to not turn on each other and keep their other children and their eight friends silent for all these years under such scrutiny? Or was she simply kidnapped?
Can't think of many people who kill their kid and then magically make the body disappear to the extent that a seven year investigation turns up no tangible evidence whatsoever. He didn't really disappear - he was seen by witnesses walking away from the resort with a kid in his arms at 10pm. Tbh I doubt the **** was going to come back for the other kids, or try to carry them all at once. All within four hours? Two hours of which were spent in public view at a restaurant? They'd have to be ****ing good at this disposing of bodies in a foreign country thing. Life Ruff says, I believe it could happen, I believe they could have killed their kid accidentally or on purpose or however. But I don't believe they could make the body disappear without a single trace when, as you say, all the police involved seem to be 100% convinced that they did it and carrying out all their investigations on that assumption.

Nosebleed? Women with a period? Could've been there since before they arrived, sniffer dogs are so sensitive they can find blood from weeks ago. I know for a fact that if they searched my house they'd find blood, as my wife didn't put a pad on one night and has left a stain on the mattress as a result. The kid was seen alive at the kid's club at 6pm, and the hotel put its missing child policy into place at 10:30. From 8:30 till 10:30 they were both at the restaurant, so that gives them two and a half hours to kill the kid and dispose of her in such a way that an entire police force can find no definite traces, other than a bit of blood in a hotel room and a hire car. Tbh if they were druggie scroungers I'd think it even less likely they killed her, as they would have even less chance of performing a Houdini with the body.
