At least 10 million for Davies for sure , going to be a great bit of business . Taylor better be ready come kick off , he will get lots and lots of minutes now .
Trying to read between the lines on the line-ups for both halves and it looks like Jazz played in midfield. Kingsley is a full back and he and Rangel started the first half with Jazz. Thoughts?
Giving everyone a game. Rangel and Kingsley played in their chosen positions. I believe Jazz came through as a midfield player but played back four out of necessity, so maybe Monk wants to see what he can do in. his preferred position. Maybe the player to work alongside Britton?
What's so funny about one of our players getting a red card? What a peculiar attitude. Don't get it sorry. Taylor is a decent player and imo is equal to Davies but needs a run of games. Looks like he'll get it too.
Chico gets a red card and he's a liability. Taylor gets another red card and he's mustardâ¦. it's called hypocrisy.
Trunds ... I saw Jazz play for Wales v Mexico over here a couple of years ago. He came on in place of Taylor at left back, shutdown Mexico's right winger and looked every bit the quality you would expect from a Swansea City product -- all of the attributes of calm and confident in possession, technically very good, showed some flair in some tight situations. Frankly, he showed a lot better than some of the other non-Swans starters. Jazz has never let himself or us down whenever he has played for us. I am not sure why he hasn't been given more of an opportunity, over say a Tiendalli, but I would like to see him given a shot before we finally decide to call it a day and move him on.
Yankee he is another one who has been here for ever been given lots of opportunities under diferent managers and never taken them. We all want him to do well as he is a local boy.He is 23 now and is not progressing, he has been out on loan and only managed a few games. I believe he is a championship player at best. It is time for him to move on. if we are in a situation of having to play him regularly in our starting 11 we will be moving backwards. I know some will disagree as this is everyones opinion and that is fine. For me not good enough for the PL let him go and find somone who is. for the record yankee I do actually think he is equal to Tiendalli and he is another I would be saying goodbye to.
You have to understand the local psyche - for some, Jazz (like Ben) is local and therefore no much cop. He was instrumental in Crystal Palace's promotion to the Premier League and they wanted him to stay. I can't recall Jazz playing a senior game for Swans or Wales in his chosen field place, i.e. midfield - but he is a very good utility player and that may have gone against him. He did not nail down one position and learn that inside out when he was a developing player. Hopefully he will be given a run in midfield during this pre-season and then we'll be able to assess if he has what it takes, if he does great (just saved £6million) if not time for him to move to another club. He's quite young, proven at Championship level (some might say International & Prem also), he has stamina, sill and tenacity; he remains fit. Quite a catch for someone.
Jazz has been unfortunate to be competing with Rangel for the RB slot and prior to Tiendalli whenever Rangel was injured Jazz slotted in there quite comfortably for me. He has never been given the opportunity to play in midfield as our depth chart to was so big.
Before we pull the plug, I too would like to see Jazz given a chance in his preferred midfield role. I just hope his career hasn't been ruined by playing him out of position.
If Canas is not going to be available then I would certainly like to see Jazz swap with Leon in that role.

It's nice to see the youngsters given their chance and I've got a feeling Monk will use some of them in the coming season.
If he does then we are right in the s**t. This is the side that played against Everton in the cup last year. I remember the anger at the disgraceful side he put out. If that wasnt good enough then what has changed now. SWANSEA Tremmel, Richards, Bartley, Amat, Taylor, Canas, de Guzman, Hernandez, Routledge, Lamah, Vazquez. SUBS Vorm, Britton, Bony, Dyer, Williams, Lita, Tiendalli The one youngster I am excited about and I hope and think he will get game time is Jay Foulton. I know he is injured but that kid will definately make it IMO of course.
Agreed. You don't try out young players in the PL unless you either have no alternative or they have well and truly proved themselves at U21 level - Foulton looks like he's one. Looked a decent game to me. At one point I'm sure I saw Tremmel command his area.
