It'll create more chances for sure. Having the ability to stick the ball in the back of the net is an entirely different thing!
and just when we thought it was dead, its back on again lol. According to reports, Liverpool have opened new talks with Spanish side Sevilla as they look to complete a £20million deal for star defender Alberto Moreno. The Premier League runners-up have been strongly linked with the Spaniard this summer and, having already made several signings, he has now become top priority, the Metro reports. With Liverpool's sell of Luis Suarez to Barcelona they have money to spend and Sevilla newspaper ABC reports that they have decided to make one final bid to sign the 22-year-old. The article reveals that they have already had two bids around the £16million mark rejected but are confident that a new offer will allow them to complete a move. Moreno played 29 La Liga matches last season, netting three goals as Sevilla impressed during the second half of the season to finish fifth and win the Europa League title. Source: Sportsvibe anyone know if we are actually trying to do a deal here, or just silly journo bollocks.
I'd say it was silly, journo' bollocks. They usually just publish rumour, or opinion, anyway. Always take their 'inside info' with a massive pinch of salt. Especially if they are Man United fans . . . #throwenoughshitandsomewillstickeventually
metro are also reporting it, just wondering if sportsvibes sources are metro, and metros sauces are local seville paper lol (ie try and get interested parties to get a bidding war going)
the metro use anything as a source, any website puts out a story it gets picked up. kroos to real is now going to release khederia so will it be arsenal or chelsea? but in any event i think the moreno stuff is hard to call. if swansea want any more than 5 mil for their lad they can stuff it so we might well go back and toss 20 at them i dunno... I imagine we'd keep at it right up to august 31 somehow.
We really need a LB. Anyone know why Enrique was not included in the squad against Bronby? Is he still injured?
He only had one year left on his contract and refused a new one offered by Bayern, so from their perspective it was 24 mil now or nothing next summer. He's reportedly on €6 million wages net per year, which works out at about GBP 90k per week after tax.
