http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/article/1415-matchday-prices-1764568.aspx Don't think I'll be going to any cat a games thank you
Considering teams like Liverpool, Man City etc will each play at the KC probably only once a year I totally see people paying this prices regardless of how expensive they seem.
Do they realise that most people can't afford those sorts of prices (possibly including the season cards). Completely out of touch with the local community IMO!
Haven't looked at the link but... People who pay on matchday for the big teams only are the ones who deserve to be charged more. They're not our core customers, they're not loyal and the demand is high. Season tickets should be cheap, Cat C and B games should be cheap, Cat A should be pricey
£35 for "Category B" games. I paid that to go to Leicester a few years ago and that included travel, a pie and a drink!
£16 for adults is a brilliant price for some premier games but £35 and £50 will make fans think about going. We don't even know how many passes have been sold so don't know how many tickets will be left for matchdays
Cat A games will sell out. People who can pay that price will pay that price. Club realise that. They want the income rather than to please everyone The Cat C games will often be a better game of football and ticket price seems fair to try and fill the stands How will they decide who deserves Cat C status and will there be many of them?...........
Actually I thought the cat a games are usually better games of football. Not because we get to see Stevie g or whatever, but because the big teams come here to win, and Brucey hosts them looking to win. We get a proper game of football with both teams trying to win. Most the cat c games last season were an absolute slog. The primary objective for both teams is not to lose first and foremost, they were very cagey and very defensive displays for the most part.
Cat A games will sell out, but to locals supporting the opposition, Cat C should sell out, but Cat B are likely to have a few thousand empty seats.
The problem with the £50 category A is these seats maybe filled by day trippers and not proper fans. Which affect the atmosphere.
Still Good value seen as though this year alone Hull City have paid out over 30 million on players... I for one will not turn my nose up at the prices. It only averages about 20 pound a week to see the Mighty Tigers... See you all there and Come on You 'ull...
I asked the question of someone at the club, and they looked surprised to hear people thought the walk up tickets in the north stand, especialy N5, would be used by people supporting the away team, and said if they were seen to do that, they'd be ejected as they are now. Honestly, I didn't laugh in their face.
There will be some proper fans who buy these tickets...however most of them will be season ticket holders from the visiting clubs that can't get in the away end = trouble
Give over, I'm sure you can afford an extra tenner for some games. Maybe you'll only attend 7 games instead of 10 but you'll still go. Edit: just realised how badly that's worded. I don't mean I'm sure you can dig for a extra tenner for each game, I meant if you spend so much attending games over the season you can still spend that same amount it'll just come to lower numbers if you choose to attend the cat a and cat b games.
any idea who fits what catergory? Stoke are Cat C which is £16 for me... Very reasonable so I will be going to that before I head back to uni. But who else will be cat c? And who's cat b? Cat A are obvious as the big teams Chelsea etc
If I didn't have a season card I'd just go to cat C games Cat B seems a bit much and I can see those games not selling out at all Plenty of Man U fans etc. will pay £50 no problem
