Possibly, although I don't think he'll be loaned out to any of Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton or Spurs, so I doubt he'll feature much in Europe. Off topic but how good does that list look without Man Utd, specially when you add hull city on the end
Was just thinking of next seasons starting 11/bench and would Maguire even get on the bench? Everybody has a personal allowance, but it can be reduced to zero for a number of reason. So ultimately they do not have a personal allowance.
Firstly its not looking likely that we'll sign Dawson atm, so that'd make him third choice if we didnt sign him. Also we're likely to play 3 at the back in some games, and taking into consideration injuries and thursday/sunday fixtures, he'd be likely to play 25+ games at least. Also, with him being a good prospect, there's no guarentees we'd be his first choice to sign for should he have another strong season this year, so i'd say he's well worth the £2m or so.
Do we really need Dawson? He'd be a good addition but if we're not playing three at the back for whatever reason then someone out of Chester, Davies or Dawson has to be dropped. I'd rather have Maguire to be honest, we'd be fine if we had Chester, Davies, Maguire, Macca and Bruce as our centre-backs for the season.
I think you will find that SB will play 3 at the back if he gets Dawson, and there is rumour that Bruce might return to Leeds, but even if he doesn't we need 2 back ups in that area, though watching Figgy in the WC, his best position looks to be Centre half, so he is another alternative.

We won't be able to accommodate Ince or Snoddy if we play three at the back, unless Bruce drops either Long or Jelavic.

Holy crap he's quick! He sounds like he's rated by a fair few clubs, will be better to ask Febbos what he's like. If there are a few clubs after him, it's a good bet he's got something about him. He'd fit our bill, he's not gonna be a lot of money and he's half decent, it'd be like having a second Sagbo, which can't be all bad.
Would Jose Baxter cut it at this level? Have heard quite a few positive things about him although looking at two Sheff Utd players from league one is hardly the standard to Premiership football.

Time to move on Brucey!! Forget Maguire, and if Dawson/Spurs take the piss any longer, forget them too! Try to land Robertson and then get a CB on loan from somewhere if possible. Zouma or Kalas from Chelsea perhaps..
