Seems like he's got plenty of options but taking his time to decide where he'll least likely be a bench warmer. West Ham would be a great move if he gets the game time.
I'd like to think he's good enough for the Prem, but he's unproven at that level so I fear a position on the bench.
Seems like his chance of Premiership football has gone So maybe West Ham is a good bet, at least he will get to play and maybe score goals. Should have come to Norwich in January (lost that chance because of the Arsehole Fry) At least at West Ham he will be playing for a top half team and may get a chance to reach the play-offs. I think in any team in the PL he would be a bench warmer, his agent should have told him that. I think CMS should sack him when he leaves Peterborough Good luck Craig where ever you end up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got to agree with that. CMS should have come to Norwich in January and I am sure he would have had BF not been a pr!ck.
2 different ways of looking at it, both with some validity. From the Peterborough club viewpoint, yes he certainly helped in the promotion push in a big way but CMS might have lost his chance to play at the highest level. Had he been perhaps 3 or 4 years younger it would be different. Even if he goes to West Ham, it can not be taken for certain they will get promoted (personally I think they will).
Would CMS have played for Norwich in the Prem or would he have been a bench warmer? Are Norwich still interested? Personally, I saw his transfer in January as a very good deal for Norwich. A good insurance policy to ensure a goal scoring back-up was available in the promotion push.
Play or bench warmer? Good question. I think had he come to us and proved himself in the Championship he would have had a very good chance of playing as I don't think we would have signed Steve Morrison from Millwall. Now, I think his chances would be very limited and on that basis I would be very surprised if Norwich & Peterborough entered in to talks about a transfer now.
It seems CMS has turned down Norwich. Possibly because he wouldn't feature much? Leicester and West Ham are currently in the frame: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_7006859,00.html
If he does end up at Leicester then good luck to him. I fancy them to go up this time round, having seen who they have signed so far this summer. Maybe CMS will get PL football in the next year or so.
Jumping the gun a little aren't you?.... A fee has been agreed with several clubs, this in no way assures them of getting him, I have a sneaky feeling for West Ham coming up on the blind side. However Leicester would mean that he wouldn't need to move house, so that could be an important factor.
