Would you want him? http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/leeds-united-set-to-move-for-cardiff-city-defender/
Mark Hudson was our captain in our promo season and he played some blinders to be fair. Solid right sided CB who was kept out of the side last year by Caulker who played every minute of the Prem season for us. Caulker has a release clause will be gone back to the Prem before long and Ole is looking for a replacement right now. I wouldn't really want Huds to go until that new guy is signed up as I think he has an awful lot to offer at Championship level. He's not the quickest but can read a game well - very solid in the tackle and a good head on him. You could do a lot worse.
Good Selection of young 'uns and mixed in with some older ones as well for experience teach them something. I do like the idea of a core of British players
Tc is confused. Wall have no kids, they have no young adults, they don't even have any middle aged ones playing.
Only if they're good enough though, which in recent times they haven't been. No point in signing British players just for the sake of it. We've been down that road and it didn't get us very far. Overpaid Brits with no desire or technical ability who we can't shift. Mark Hudson is not good enough, would want too much money, and is too old. The same could be said of Alex Bruce.
Would you have said that about Naylor before he joined us. Even if he doesn't play every game he might be a good influence on the longer half
Totally agree with Forza just because they were in a squad that played in the premiership they think they should be on mega bucks
No because Naylor was what we needed at the time, experienced and a good solid defender but he wasn't already on PL wages. I see where you're coming from, but I can't think of any British defender who fits the bill, and who isn't already on a high wage
