Look at who they're buying though. Rivera to replace Remy not any better. De jong to replace cabaye definetyl not any better. Janmaat to replace debuchy, again not better. Cabella to replace Ben arfa who is clearly not a favoured player and steady colback. Seems to me like a revolving door but no real improvement in quality. The might play better as a team, or with a half decent manahment , the should be challenging with spurs given their recruitment.
Borini 10m? Virgini free? Alonso 4? Ki around £2m around £16m for these say. Id expect us to spend alot more than that or we are in bother
Gus would not have signed a new contract unless he had assurances on transfer funds. So far we are cutting our losses on flops who make inroads into the wage bill. This will be done to make space for new signings
Yeah very true Terry! Sami Khedira and Alexis Sanchez are marquis signings even at a top four level IMO. If they improve their defence with maybe one player then they will definitely look like a cracking side. Might be where my money goes this season for top spot.

Regards cards close to chest, c'mon its time the cards were laid. Pre season is starting and we are woefully short. We can't even get over the line with alonso and borini. I still fancy Chelsea at the minute, I think Fabregas will make a massive difference to their side. Costa not so much. If they actually give Lukaku a shot they'll be there or thereabouts. Arsenal's keeper would worry me if I was a goon, he's just not all he's cracked up to be. Koscielny and Mertesacker are decent statistically but always seem to be pulled apart by the better teams as well, and maybe Gibbs will improve this season but again, not a PL-winning defender for me. Not far off though, be hard as **** just to get the ball off them I reckon!
It's frustrating, but not yet a problem. I'd rather we go about it quietly and professionally than run around buying another 14 off the cuff again.Alonso, Borini and a couple of attacking MF types would be good. Aye but with a bit of luck they'll abandon the defence and try to win every game 4-3 like the mags did under Keegan! I think Mannone is better than Szczczczchesney but they sold him to us for relative peanuts - although one swallow and all that! At least 7 or 8 of their players are top notch and their midfield is world class IMO (if they get Khedira) - they will be close I reckon - I hate Chelsea simply as they play really **** football to watch - Arsenal, City and Liverpool (although I hate the latter as well) are much better to watch - when your lot were winning things (I know, not that long ago) they were good to watch most of the time too - just the **** ref badgering, diving, cheating, time-wasting dirty tactics that Mourinho employs annoy the hell out of me - I once watched John Terry referee a game at the Stadiumk of Light - and then Cattermole got booked for Dissent the first time he argued with the ref!
It's hard to pick an Arsenal midfield mind, they've got players like Ox, Walcott, Ramsey, Wilshere obviously British lads who I'd like to see do well, then Ozil, Khedira (If) Cazorla, Arteta, Rosicky then Sanchez and Podolski (no 10 role?) that's an abundance of talent to keep happy in there. I'm sure there's more as well. I reckon Arteta and or Rosicky might be off, I hope Wenger's good at juggling!
I sure hope we end up doing more than signing the same bunch of players we had last year - borini, alonso, ki, vergini et al. We need substantially more or else we're in for more of the same. Personally, I'd only bring back borini and alonso. From there, a statement signing in cm is critical, together with a striker and a solid cb.
Comachio if I bore you just move on, see how competitive you guys are when we in opposite end to mags. It's not how much we spend it's about actually having a team, and team should be just about ready for pre season training. At the moment the first team will be practising 5 a side!!
