I'm neutral as possible in the Pool-United bitchfest and I just don't see how anyone can still rate Cleverley. He's not a kid any more. If he played for Aston Villa and there was talk of United signing him I can't believe one person on here would see it as a good move.
Bebe on verge of signing for Benfica "A player's career is made of moments, but I think it's my time, my time is coming." [O Jogo] Bebé on a Benfica move: "The fact that they won the title last season motivates me more to complete this deal. I'm ready to leave anytime." Bebé: "For now I'm training with the rest of the [Man United] squad. I haven't fulfilled my potential, but I feel that my time is coming." Bebé: "I promise a lot of commitment, hard work to show my qualities and help the team[Benfica] win the title. I'm different and ambitious."
I might sound mad here but I think van Gaal could do something with Cleverly and also definitely Fellaini. They stay for a season at least. Nani and Anderson have had too many chances and deserve no more. They go, the rest we should keep. I've never even considered Bebe to be a United player. Irrelevant.
Nani and Anderson for me. If we get Vidal or another combative midfielder then I'd happily see the back of cleverly. If we get di Maria then I'd sack off young or Valencia too.
I would give Young, Nani and possibly Cleverley another 12 months. Get rid of Fellaini, Anderson, Fletcher , and Bebe. Fellaini: the classic example of a player who moves to a bigger club and shrinks under the spotlight and the pressure to deliver. reminds me of the likes of Brazil, Davenport, Birtles (going a long away back here) Fletcher: good player but because of his illness has suffered in his form and has never regained his previous form. Anderson: He has lots of chances. Even under Fergie he has not really delivered. Bebe: no comment needed
I suppose thats what make forums interesting, we all have different values for different players Nani, anderson and Bebe get what we can and move em on Fletch, give him 12 months, that illness was serious, and not something you get over quickly. He cost us nowt, so hes got to be worth another go Fellaini. Dreadful last year, but for 2 years he was Everton's constant No1 player. Maybe Moyes got him out of position. Got to be worth one more year, but if he carries on with poor form, offload him in January Young, I have not not decided. But if he carries on with his simulation tricks, get shut before he gets the reputation of Robben and others I won't mention, but we all know who they are
Don't think he wants to retire just yet. Fletcher has always been a player who relies on his brain, he can easily get physically fit again. Still reckon he could do a job as a squad player!
He'll play 3 or 4 games in the league cup next season at most. Less games means we need less players.
Carrick is our DM. I very much doubt he will play many games. Have you seen him recently. He looks awful.
Herrera's preferred position according to him is DM too. Once we sign our second midfielder that will be fletchers days numbered unfortunately. A shame but hes always going to be a fan favourite.
With the illness Fletcher has, and he hasn't recovered as you never do from it, he's not going to gain the necessary premier league level fitness again. I honestly can't see him being back to where he was before all this started for him. Be sad if he leaves though.
Here is the guy who said the players were top class but played badly because the manager was so ****. I thought I was the one blasting the players duing the season for their non-commitment...
