I would rather have Tonto than Nile Ranger he will be nothing but a complete and utter disruption to the squad a bad apple in my opinion let someone else have him I wouldn't touch him with Tonto's!
Morning all, Linked again with Catania defender Bellusci & Ternana forward Antenucci who scored 19 goals in Serie B last season http://forzaitalianfootball.com/201...ee/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Let me elaborate on why I think with have enough Italians now if we look at Bayern Munich we will see that the majority of the team is made up of Germans and I think its very important that we should copy this by playing either homegrown talent or at least English players in order to succeed to many foreigners and the team loses its identity .Too many players just come for the money not because they love Leeds .What do you knowledgeable guys think so you think I'm just a senile old man or someone who really cares for his club .Rant over!
Morning all. I think you may yet be in fora surprise with Byram. Cellino may judge him on his most recent form which was not great. Doesn't seem like type of owner who is willing to carry passengers along which Byram was a little bit of last season. I might be wrong but wouldn't be surprised if he was sold if there was a decent offer. Hope not
All players whether british or italian just come for the money, thats a fact. Second problem, british players are stupidly overpriced in signing on fees and wages, we will not be buying any other than the usual bargain basement and I for one, dont want any more of them 60
Morning All, My concern about all these Italians in the team is the communications issues. Italians are not noted for their english speaking skills in general, far less the cerebrally-challenged footballer stereotype. So imagine what it will be like in the heat of the moment when instead of shouting 'man on' or some such urgent instruction, the instruction is issued in Italian, or worse still, is wrongly translated into gobbledegook. There is a very real danger of chaos in the ranks until everyone is speaking the same language. Thoughts?
I think we need to cut our cloth accordingly. We are not a Bayern Munich, or even a mid table prem team anymore. We need to smell the coffee, in recent history we are a lower league or mid table championship team. Yes the older ones of us can still, just, remember the glory years but this is here and now.
You lot make it sound like we are the only team who will have a lot of foreigners The prem teams and some in the Championship are littered with them coming from all over the world speaking all different languages and they seem to get on just fine. Don`t see a problem in it myself, you do your talking on the pitch. Football is only in one language
If we've eleven Italians, they'll be all communicating in Italian surely. If we have one or two British, they can get a few italian lessons
Indeed. In fact, Wooton signalled he needed to be subbed during a match, and crippled himself by having to say on for a further half an hour before he was subbed off, and was off for a few months after.
I doubt many of Cellinos signings are coming just for the money, he's not one to go overboard with high wages and has already moaned about some of the daft salaries some of squad/ex squad are/were on.
The better Italian players are cheaper than shyte league 1 players, therefore we need to cut our cloth (As has been said) lets get English when we can afford to, and lets use the Italian skill/flair now whilst its cheaper to do so, and hopefully get somewhere near promotion this season. Lets face it things cannot go worse than last season, unless we get relegated. By then we will have another coach!!! I ask the question again, how many players still need to be fooked off, because I'm worried about the squad being too big. Lees, Byram, Dawson, Wootton, 5 Italians, Murphy, Pearce, Morison, Hunt, Smith, Taylor, 6 kids given new contracts .......
Here's a new rumour!! LUFC transfer news ‏@GarethBeales ·11 mins Hearing we are linked with Kjartan Finnbogason From KR Reyjkavik he's scored 33 goals in 67 games for them #lufc
You having a laugh WJ, we have put up with scottish players and there native tongue mixed in with the english in years gone by and they could still communicate
Hope we dont get him. Im struggling to remember names of any of our new lads, theirs no feckin way Ill ever get the hang of that one. How bout poor auld shaks trying to pronounce that after a dozen tinnies
Bucks, love the Rooney comment ... when Ranger played at Swindon, and I mean played, he was an asset, but the boy obviously has huge issues so maybe Liverpool will take him, Hock must think he's worth a look and would have received reports from Swindon about him, though I wouldn't sign him personally ... must say though I am surprised that we haven't gone after British players, after all Cellino did say this was the plan
Morning all Eire get used to it, we'll be speaking another language when it comes to players soon. Just think about the poor commentators
