I'd take Barkley in a heartbeat if he became available and EFC would consider selling to us. His talent is there to see for anyone with eyes and a brain in their head. I predict a massive season for him this year.

Its not quite so simple of you are thinking its 18-20mil for moreno when in fact it could be 22mil with add ons or something silly. but for me to pay 12 for a player worth about 6 in davies is silly but if you bank the 12 mil saved and spend elsewhere fine.. the thing is though... we don't need to do we....

We don't need to what? I'd say that it's a priority position. Who knows if Enrique will be good enough after a year out. He had his weaknesses anyway. Top notch full backs are worth their weight in gold....The real question is, do we think he's that good. If yes, get the deal done....buy him and move on. If no or not sure, wtf are we doing there anyway!??
I don't understand the way the committee decides the maximum value of a target. I have no idea why we would sanction spending £25m on Lallana, a very good player but in position we already already have talent but not go in with a £25-30m offer for someone like Ricardo Rodriguez, who is a top, top class player, only 21 and plays in a position we really need filling.

Rodriguez would be a great signing. Am not sure we actually had anyone for Lallanas position...who I also think will turn out to be a great signing. Moreno is our #1 target obviously, it's just a game of cat and mouse I hope. I'd hate to have to settle for second best in key positions!
Or you could drop Giroud and play Walcott, and either have him with his pace upfront or play Sanchez up there and have Walcott on the wing. Either way it looks scary, especially if they're able to add a top quality striker.
