for the record I really believe that barkely is the player of his generation of english players and will be a huge super star....
Has Rodgers made an offer for Barkley? As far as I know he hasn't. Now the world is full of players who are as good, if not better, than he is. Therefore he does not figure at the present time as far as LFC are concerned. So Tobes can tout him all he wants but looks like we're not in the market and aren't crying any tears.
It wouldn't matter if he did, we'd not sell him to you lot for any amount and the lad wouldn't want the move, so it's a moot point.
Sorry mate but I think you've got that one wrong. My bet is he becomes another Wilshire - unfulfilled potential and made of glass. Time will tell.
Load of crap Tobes. Everton are supposed to be a professional club and money talks (eventually!). So keep pimping.
thats fair enough we are all entitled to our opinions. for me watching gerrard at a young age break down with growth related injuries however i find that there is time for both whilshire and barkely to kick on if they work hard... thats my opinion anyway. whilshire is 22...
Made of glass? The lad's had no history of injury whatsoever, barring a double leg break. You don't half talk some ****e at times.
Barkley has got all of the attributes needed to be top drawer, the only thing that will stop him achieving his full potential is himself, and he's shown no signs whatsoever of being the kind of kid who'll get carried away with himself.
Poor old Dave was 30 when he crossed to the dark side though..... Listen, Kenwright would be lynched from the main stand if he even considered selling Barkley to you lot. As and when the lad does eventually move on, there's no way of God's earth it'll be across the park.
As, in so many things, Gerrard has proved himself to be either very lucky and/or blessed with overwhelming talent to the point where he is almost unique. I don't wish to see any player's career ruined by injury but my feeling is that neither of those 2 players are destined to flourish as well as they were expected to. To me that has probably more to do with emphasis on competitive 'training' in their youth.
So we'll only have to offer the cost of ensuring your main stand doesn't fall down to get his signature then
Apparently Arsenal have agreed a fee for Sami Khedeira. Hope Brendan and the team have something up their sleeve.
