Will Lallana be first team though? He plays Coutinho or Henderson position and he isn't taking either one over. If he's put in the wing he will be wasted, I dunno, I think he will need to work his way in. I think Markovic and Can will be first teamers by the end of the season.
Telegraph reporting that we had an £8m bid for Ben Davies rejected by Swansea. Really infuriating if true. Why are we so content to sign average players, especially in a position where we desperately need a genuine first teamer?
I now feel Lallana will be a wide playmaker who roam to the point of a diamond. ------------Gerrard------------- ----Henderson----Coutinho------ Lallana-------------------------- --------------------Sterling----- ----------Sturridge--------------
As he not got 71 league appearances and 10 Int caps mate? And he's 21....and BR will know him from Swansea If he were called Davieso though maybe we'd like it
From the Mirror: Tuesday's Liverpool stories from other newspapers and websites Shaqiri Shaqiri The Reds could well have been dealt a blow in the chase for one of the top summer targets. Swiss starlet Xherdan Shaqiri has long been linked with a move to Anfield with boss Rodgers known to be a fan. But reports in Germany indicate that the 22-year-old's club Bayern have no intention to sell. The Daily Express quote sporting director Matthias Sammer from an interview in magazine Kicker. "Xherdan is an important player for the future," he said. "There are no thoughts at all about selling him." http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...rumours-xherdan-shaqiri-3862622#ixzz37ZvPmFX1 Follow us: @DailyMirror on Twitter | DailyMirror on Facebook I thought he had a release clause? Bastard! I just know this has got something to do with Ferguson and the FA, but I just haven't worked out how yet.
Since we've just paid £20m for Markovic, I'll go with him despite not knowing anything about him... Migs Flanno - Skrtel - Sakho - Enrique Gerrard © Hendo - - - - - Lallana Markovic - - - - - - - - - - Sterling Studge
Also, to all the Coutinho/Lallana talk. Have you ever heard of squad rotation? You need two of every position, and that role is one that is vital to our system, so we really do need two quality players for that role. We really dipped in quality when Coutinho was injured last season. We have to avoid situations like that to win the league. Just like having Markovic and Sterling. Squad rotation is extra important at their age or they will develop injury problems.
I really wouldn't. I don't think apps and international apps (for Wales!) means much. I don't want him because in those games for Swansea he hasn't proven to be a stand out performer. He's an average left back at best. The best thing you can say about him is he doesn't give the ball away very much. Not good defensively, weak in the tackle (59 tackles won, 81 tackles lost), poor in the air, just meh all round really.
