Just for the record, I'm not opting out because I can't be arsed or because I don't think I'll win.

I can't be arsed but that's not the driving factor.

I've got a twitchy trigger finger and I know I'd be as bad as Dutch, worse in fact, so what's the point in replacing one tyrant with another tyrant?

I have full confidence that if I stood for the post I would record a landslide victory.

 

Do we have a date set for the Royal Rumble Table, Chairs & Ladders Last Man Standing match in Linnet car park to decide the new mod?

Just asking because I may need my leotard taking in beforehand as I've dropped a couple of dress sizes since my last bout.

Blampey - regarding your 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' post, it was my idea to try and get another mod and Dutch agreed, my reason was mostly that Ricardo isn't on as much now which leaves two of us doing the work which three normally used to. So it's not really about fixing anything from my point of view, just about increasing the chance of a mod being online at any one time and that sort of thing.

Regarding the existing mods stepping down, I see it as an ongoing thing like it has been since the beginning. I can only speak for myself but if the board wanted me to stop modding then I would do. But its a separate issue to this appointment of an extra mod. That said I'd expect to know why and I can't remember ever upsetting anyone from a modding point of view, I know of one person on here doesn't like me because of my stance as a poster but I don't think even he has ever had a run-in with me as a moderator, though he does seem to confuse me with Dutch sometimes and thinks I've done something I haven't. I've made the odd error which I believe have been resolved with individuals over PM.

 

If you're in the vote i don't doubt you'd get vote back in anyway.

We still need a level of consistency, nobody will enjoy a series of new mods all at the same time, since nobody knows how s**te everyone else wold be. thats why I liked the idea of 'terms' so we wouldn't be stuck with a t**t, but it's still give a chance for the ones who are doing a good job to continue.

 

Hairy muff- just get the feeling that a small embittered clique (for their own reasons) are fanning the dying flames of a non issue so as to undermine one of the mods. It's a shame that it seems to coincide with what you've written above.

The disproportionate space that has been given to this non issue has spoilt the board in recent days.

You just lost a bit of balance about the ctwd stuff and it definitely showed allowing every thread to go off on that. Remember it was ric who cqme up with the one thread for it and that worked.
But things have calmed down a bit now. I'd vote for you as one of the three if you're in the run off.
But it may be time to have 3 new mods.

PLT does a decent job, goes unnoticed and doesn't cause a fuss.

I actually don't mind you as a Mod, you're just part of the current regime on here so its guilt by association with Mr Victim and his comedy sidekick the resident whiney bigot Aggro. Plus referring to you both as the chuckle brothers makes me laugh. I don't confuse you 2, Dutch is absolutely a 1 off and takes deluded to a new level unseen before.

I'm with Chazz on you as a poster. 100%. That said, I don't mind a bit of back and forth over a subject, and you've never pulled the "Im a mod" card so fair plays for that. In fact, if you were to stand as part of a new mod pack, I would almost certainly vote for you as well.

Kempton has an allotment, so, I might have to vote for him too.

Charlie has a plastic shed ffs. So as lovely as she might be, no.

Erik, PLT, Brady and Kempton, that would be a good mix seeing as Hat aint interested.
