I liked Berger but he wasn't anything great though, might of been the time he signed for us when we were average but I never thought he was great.
He had a great left foot and was technically good, but he didn't much care for defending and his knees were ****ed. Only real similarity with Marko is the hair and the long legs anyway.
Berger played a lot longer and had more success than he's getting credit for here I would say he was more inconsistent than anything. Good player imo
I was a massive Berger fan. Just think injuries cost him. Can't think of many players who had a better start to their Liverpool career than Berger. Loved playing against Chelsea too.
Yeah injuries shorten his career but I do feel he was outrageous at times in what he'd do and then average
www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...tamford-Bridge-not-Anfield.html#disqus_thread Good article here We have taken full ownership of him now though, Its obv our rules for players in our league but surely the 'players investment fund' wouldve been against him coming to England then They wont have 50% now on any future transfers???
Just made £10m on him though. Pretty decent profit. they'll re-invest that in 10 or so young up and coming players in the hope a couple of them get big transfers and make another £10m on a few of them.
Lallana will be first 11. Can will be a play a big part in years to come, as will Markovic. Lambert will be very useful.
