    a query..

as far as I'm aware we will know our opponents by Friday's draw or perhaps the 2 potential opponents.

in the second scenario we have to wait until the 24th to discover the winner

the away leg is likely to be first and on 31st July

That wouldn't give me long to receive my ticket here in France & book flights

Do they do pay on the gate for away fans in Europe or will I defo have to buy through HCAFC?

Now.... let's have a think about this????

Have City ever played away in Europe before? Maybe in a little friendly game perhaps.

No we haven't so this is the first time!!!!!

(Hope you get your tickets in time but who would have thought it?) Enjoy the new experience.

It would be a major shock if it was anything other than pay on the gate. I have a feeling that you maybe looking for flights to either Ireland or Scotland. Something tells me a trip to Aberdeen could be on the cards.

or a train to doncaster/york/leeds then to Edinburgh then to aberdeen or

train to leeds to carlisle(which includes the highest altitude station in england, stunning scenery) carlisle to glasgow and then to Aberdeen

you're talking a 6-7 hour train journey each way

I prefer the carlisle route, it also includes a ride on the virgin tilting trains, its like your flying past cows and manure

I had a dream that we got Metalurg Skopje, then the next day had the same dream but we got Zelejnicar (sp). Theyre drawn against each other so I think we will get the winners of that one.

Tiger city, even if you have to buy via the club I can't see it being an issue. I'm sure people off here will be going (I'm planning on it myself) and I'm sure one of us will be happy to meet you there with your ticket.

I wouldn't trust the French postal system, they lose bloody everything.

I'd quite like to go to Macedonia, Skopje is supposed to be beautiful and I like their flag. It's kinda the same as the Rising Sun flag from WW2, one of which is in my grandmothers loft, replete with Japanese bloodstains.

I don't know where Zelejnicar is, other than it's somewhere in Bosnia, which isn't high on my list of places of to go.

It's in Sarajevo, which is a fascinating City.

The decision on whether we are home or away first or second is random, decided as part of the convoluted draw. So we are 50:50 as to whether we play away on 31 July or 7 August.

I went and watched valencia v stoke in 2012 which was meant to be a stoke sell out but they would only sell me tickets in the stoke end due to me being English

Seeded teams play away first, unless they changed it.

I don't expect them to get past Groningen. Tough draw. In fact, Groningen are just about the strongest side we could draw (given our seeding will protect us from most of the good teams).

That's not correct this season, the home team for the first leg is drawn from a pot. You can watch the 1st/2nd round draw on the uefa website to see how it's done.
