Rumblings of QPR on the poach with talks at an apparent "advanced" stage... Credible I suppose, but then they mention a fee of £4.75 million, which is less than we paid for him...

Too much uncertainty within our club for me, certainly not instilling confidence with Bassongate, Roylegate and now Fergate...but we shall see.

OTBC.

Given that Fer only left Brazil for the Netherlands on Sunday, this story lacks credibility. The fee quoted makes it even more so. 6m euros seems like a reasonable amount in the Netherlands, but it's a ridiculous amount for Fer. Also, the fact that it's QPR, whose stay in the Premiership isn't guaranteed, makes it even less believable. Southampton, with a Dutch manager, maybe, but not QPR.

Has everyone in Norfolk been smoking too much of the happy grass? You're all so paranoid and it's getting worse!

This is in no way credible. If Fer leaves it will be for substantially more and almost certainly not to them. How can negotiations be in an "advanced stage" when he is not available for negotiations, except by his agent. If this is happening without City's consent then this is an illegal approach. Total fabrication.

Agree with this and really can't see him wanting to go to QPR - as RER said, Saints possibly, but let's wait until he at least gets back from World Cup duty before worrying unduly. To quote a well-known PM -"Calm down dear!!!" <ok>

Did I miss something? When was Michael Winner ever PM?

This all makes complete sense - now.

As Leroy scored during that recent tournament in Brazil, he's now QPR eligible as according to their main (and only :emoticon-0112-wonde) criterion, he's now officially "WCT" Job done, simples... apart from the derisory fee being touted around. £5m might buy the delusional tinpot outfit his left shin pad.
I really despise everything that club has stood for in the last 3 or so years, since Fernandes has got involved. In fact, I'd rather see Leroy become a binner for free than join those muppets <yikes>

The QPR rumour always looked wrong due to the amount of money attached to it.
The fact if the matter is that Leroy is probably too good for the championship and may well leave, but it would have to be for around 10 million.

Anyone notice this part of the sentence?

“There is quite a lot happening around Leroy".

I'd be amazed if Fer is a Norwich player on September 1st.

Edit: Unless, of course, the agent is referring to newspaper speculation, but then I think he'd say "there is quite a lot being said..." That's the ridiculous thing about the transfer window - it's all down to interpretation...
