Best attacking player for the team that finished 3rd in the tournament.

Who else would you have instead?

I won't even try and put together a team of the tournament purely because I have found the majority of this World Cup to be sub standard. Even the 'best' matches have failed to truly excite or inspire me. The Germans may be the best TEAM in the World but I get no thrill from watching them. Only England came up to expectation and that was as low as it could have been. Rooney couldn't/wouldn't give any cover to Baines in the first match and was more intent on scoring a goal that actually creating anything in the second match - he's just a very selfish ****!

So what have I learnt from this World Cup:

    1) You don't have to be very good to have a massive ego/reputation
    2) The only real strategy is to kill the game as a contest and hope for penalties
    3) At least most people stay awake throughout a Premiership match!

You were saying robben was poor and you were asked who you would replace him with. I answered for you. You seem to love the utterly ****ing ****e player that is neymar.

All from different teams is difficult. Mmmm, probably:

    --------------------------Ochoa(Mex)-----------------------
    -----------Hummels (Ger)---Vlaar (HOL)----Rodriguez (SWI)-------
    --------------------------Mascherano (ARG)-----------------------
    ---------Hazard (BEL)-------Sanchez (CHI)------Valbuena (FRA)----
    ----------------Rodgriguez (COL)-----Neymar (BRA)------------------

I thought Hazard was very poor. De Bruyne was Belgium's main attacking threat.

  20. Fair enough, I didn't read back (again) <laugh>

I don't love Neymar. He's a very good player if used correctly but he's certainly not on the Messi / C.Ronaldo level, far from it. No reason he couldn't be if he knuckles down but the other two were both far better at his age.

PS...who asked who I'd replace him with? They obviously didn't read back either since I posted an XI <laugh>
