Sadly, they are stupid enough to believe that; despite us being above them for around the last 7 years.

Big part of the reason I want Maguire is just for the symbolism: us cherry picking their best players (like we did qith Quinn too) and swinging our big dicks around as the true kings of Yorks.

Would you want to sign for DQPR ?

    Spot on ^^^^ this.

I like Brady and Quinn working as a pair on the left of midfield. New season for one and all to impress.

Not a chance. Caulker is way way overrated.<ok>

Michael Keane from Man Utd ? SB needs to have a word with Van Gaal pronto.

Could not agree more ^^^^^ this.

Dawson wants his final year paid up by Spurs and why not ? Afterall it is Spurs that want rid of him.

    No hair either.

Leicester fans are praying that blockhead doesn't try and get Michael Keane back. They weren't impressed.

They are no judges. But, when ive watched him he looks good. Played a staring role for the England U21's and Stuart Pearce speaks highly of him.

But Maguire and Roberston look ahead of him for sure.

Me too we have experience in Chester, Macca & Davies, to bring in a young, hungry defender is a positive thing just as we've done with Ince

I really can't believe how dense the Sheff Utd fans are. I mean seriously it hurts my head comprehending some of the pure stupidity on some of their forums.

I'm not coming across as delusional or elitist because I can remember where we have come from but....

So many of them have turned on him and have no understanding of context.

Some believe they are a massive club and have a Devine right to be in the premiership because they have been there before and just don't understand how far they have fallen. Clutching at straws and thinking the only logical reason he would come here is because he's a mercanary and it's for the money, trying to reassure there selves.

Falling to notice that we are two leagues higher, playing European football, in the premiership again, have an impressive team with a great manager and a better infrastructure.

Something because he would be third choice that he should stay with them. I could somewhat understand it if they were in the championship.

They are just so bitter. It's only common sense when a premiership club, playing in Europe with a decent manager and some decent players has interst in you that your head is turned.

He may be third choice this season but the calibre of matches he would play this year, the calibre of players he would be playing with and the career development he would have could lead him on to becoming a top premiership defender.

People on their forums are saying that we have just agreed a fee with them. They seem unsure if its true but they say that it is what has just started to go around.

"Me thinks an agent is getting desperate surely Harry doesn't think Hull city is a good career move, still he would be well paid even if 4th in line for a game. On the plus side he might get a couple of games in Europe should Hull come up against Aberystwyth Town before going out to FC Shakhter Karagandy the giants of the Kazakhstan Premier League. I predict in two years time we will be higher placed than Hull City or is it Hull Tigers. If Harry believes all his agent tells him well ..................... who was it who said footballers are thick ?
If that is what Harry truly wants then let him go but only on our terms, if he throws the rattle out of the pram let him rot with the youth team and take compensation in a years time. It really is in Harry's interests to perform to the very best of his ability whether he wants to be here or not.
Wanting to go to Hull tee hee, that is laughable."

I do like this quote from their forums though.

"Maybe fulham will make a 50m bid for macguire"

It smacks of delusional when they believe we will be relegated and they will be promoted, not to mention that two many think the only reason is because of the pay rise.

I just can't comprehend how they can't understand why a player in league one who has no guarantees of promotion would not want to go to a premiership football club who are in Europe, have players like Huddlestone, Davies, Ince, snodgrass, long, jelavic etc etc and a decent manager like Bruce and a better financial situation.

I just can't believe after the potential we have and the seasons we have had that they believe they are still currently on par if not better.

    They do seem delusional.

I especially like that they are ridiculing him for his speed and skill saying that he will be easy to replace and that he isnt really a very good League 1 defender. Then they talk about how they should hold out for 3 mill plus add-ons or let his contract run out and then get millions in a tribunal fee. They cant seem to decide if he is complete **** or if he is going to be a future english national team star. Half the time its the same person saying both things in the same paragraph.

I know every forum has the delusional fans and that they don't speak for the majority but the sad thing is that it seems to be the majority of over the minority.

If the shoe was on the other foot and we were in League One and they were in the Premiership and they came in for our best player I would react a whole lot different. Sure I would be gutted that we were losing our best player to a local rival but I would understand that because of his potential that it was best for him to move to the Premiership, thank him for what he had done for the club and wish him well. Yes inside feeling gutted a bitter but understanding that Premiership football over league one just blows it out of the water.

There are too many clubs in this country that live on past achievements and glories and have massive delusions of grander. We are making our history now and slowly turning the opinions of people worldwide.

We have to cut them a bit of slack! Seeing as they're not even the biggest club in their own city! So they're not gonna be happy losing a good player to the best team in YORKSHIRE.
