That German bird with die grossen jügs got me worked up already, any more lady action and MrsFT will think it's her birthday.
Y Hitting on the break (counter attack) is a perfectly reasonable style of play and can be exciting. The Argies were trying to win it as well. If they'd been parking the bus you'd have reason to criticise but that's not what they did.
Messi looked confused about getting the Golden Ball. Even he probably thought he didn't deserve it. 2nd and 3rd were Muller and Robben.
I never said it wasn't, counter attacking is a reasonable form of tactics, but credit to the side that on balance go out to try win it, particularly in extra time I felt the Argies were playing with going penalties in mind.
According to sources, 20.5 million people watched the final in the UK. 6th biggest TV audience in the UK in the past 10 years. England vs Portugal at Euro 2004, The Royal Wedding, the two 2012 Olympic Ceremonies and the 2012 100m final were the ones higher. Not bad for a match that technically should've had very little interest here.
The biggest Rugby (League or Union) TV audience in the UK was for the 2003 World Cup Final. It had a peak audience of 14 million.
He really didn't deserve it. Messi? Missi more like. Yes he's a good player, but the best player in this WC? No. The best player would have buried his chances last night. Guess we can't expect anything else from FIFA.
In the period before full-time and extra time its a good chance for your captain to step up and take command. please log in to view this image
Forgot to mention, I hope Party didn't spot Messi throwing up, woulda spoiled the whole spectacle for him.
As much as I hate the commentators on BBC, I worked out I hated the ITV ones too, so for me it was a simple decision of knowing how ITV like to go to an advert break at a bad point in a game, or miss stuff by showing an advert that I went with BBC and just muted the commentary through the centre speaker.
Argentina blew it big time and paid the price for wastefulness. Higuain should have had 2 goals in the first half alone. Germany took advantage to win the World Cup end of. How the hell Messi was picked for the golden ball beggars belief. James Rodriquez should have got it along with his golden boot. imo. NB. Six of that german side played for the U21's against England U21's back in 2009. Only one of our team was in Woy's squad.
It's mostly a pain in the arse to get the levels right, but for this one night, it was well worth it!
Here is an article on the German training camp they built in Brazil in case anyone hasnt heard about it. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-training-camp-has-given-them-extra-edge.html
My dad actually came up with an idea that, if you're eligible to play for the under 21's and picked you play. Gets them all playing together through the ranks and they become a much more tight knit bunch.
