thought he had a very good tournament. To be fair to him, he had a decent end of season for City as well. Much improved from the first half anyway. I actually didn't recognise him for the first couple of games, the hair and good defending totally confused me <laugh>

Nope, despite some decent performances him switching off and running away from the ball is what lost Argentina the World Cup

That would be my team but I'd fit Hummels into the back four. Probably instead of Vlaar <ok>

I wanna know how the **** Messi won player of the tournament - unbelievable, he wouldn't of even made it my 2nd best team. Very odd.

Navas should have won Golden Glove IMO. Anyone but Messi for Golden Ball as well.

Schweinsteiger should be in every team imo, outstanding tournamant who quietly just does everything Germany need him to do whilst the rest grab the headlines getting goals. Maybe it makes for a poor team balance, but him and Masch were the best two central midfielders for me so both would get picked. The team doesn't have to actually work.

Dare I mention that a still injured Suarez was ****ing fantastic in one of the two games he played? How did you enjoy the play, Mrs Lincoln, and all that, but otherwise I thought Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar and the other 'world stars were mediocre. Robben was my player of the tournament.

Neymar (along with the refs) were the only thing that got Brazil to the semi.

It's hard, James deserves his shout but so does messi, I simply had to take neymar out as sorry but not quite top World Cup, nearly but not quite. Messi scored 4 and assisted 2?

    Bosnia
    Nigeria
    Swizerland
    Belgium
    Holland

First 4 games were hardly that difficult and he didn't score a goal in the knockouts. Decent, but Neymar had more of an impact for me.

  19. Agree but I think the same for Robben too. He hardly did anything really, marked out for most games.

    General consencious so far is.

    Neuer in goal.
    Lahm Hummels Vlaar Blind
    Masch ??
    Robben Rodriguez ??
    Muller

Only question is if it's Kroos or Schweinstieger in CM and Neymar or Messi for the other attacking option.

Rest seem to be pretty consistent with everyone else.
