haaa only just seen this , i didnt notice i'd hit the G rather than the H - i got it right in the other paragraph - had i resorted to name calling i would have tried a bit harder ,

ive been admin and mod on games forums since 1999 and they are littered with warriors , trolls n Wums - i cant speak for OLM but too often people see a mod post as an official post or one endorsed by what holds the said forum together - it can make it frustrating as a mod to offer an opinion , not the fault of the mod , more the fault of what the reader presumes . Some love to test a Mods resolve and call for action on their position if the react .
Its sad really because for the most part users dont see the work a Mod does

 

OLM for me.

It'll be nice to have someone with a bit of common sense and who doesn't get involved in every petty squabble on the board as a Mod.

The bloke's got enough about him not to let his personal opinions get in the way of the role.

It'll make a refreshing change and hopefully might return this forum back to where it used to be.

 

We can't have OLM - Happy will not allow it.

My opinion is there are far worse on this board that in their own head cannot be wrong.

That's why I think once a mod is elected it should be for a set period and not an undetermined term.

I think some mods abuse their position and at times the apalling moderation of this board has left me wondering whether I want to post anymore.

I've had numerous threads started in my name by a certain mod without permission and for no good reason.

I think this forum is in decline and unless something is done it'll go the same way as CI.

In that no f**ker uses it.

Getting a decent mod or two on board might stop the rot.

Don't kid yourself either, Dutch gets plenty of reward for what he does on here. Mostly to his ego and his bizarre sense of how awesome he is.

I agree with you about people criticising other peoples hard work whilst doing sod all themselves though.

 

You've had zero threads started in your name. We can't do that. What HAS happened, is that your posts have been moved to a new thread for disrupting other threads. You don't like that, hence some of your other comments. The solution is not to disrupt threads, but you seem to prefer to do that so you can whine about being a victim.

On other boards, such posts are simply deleted, but we feel it's okay to bung the frippery into another thread so that BOTH can run, rather than yours cocking it up and driving people away.

 

OLM would be better than Dutch or PLT. He actually wasn't that bad before despite my piss taking, but he had something lacking currently, which was a conscience, and he stepped down so he could post freely as a poster and not be continually be viewed as a mod throwing his weight around. I disagree with a lot of what he posts, and we bang heads occasionally, but I don't think hes a completely bad person.

The 3 of them together? No, I think that would be a terrible idea. We already see a huge CTWD bias from the current 2, adding in an official rep on the CTWD committee would devalue this forum hugely.

I see you've obviously done your "twisting other peoples words to suit a specific agenda" module on your "degree" now. Need to work on it a bit more. 4/10.
