Why Germany cant win the World Cup

Germany had a chance and took it - Argentina didn't take any of theirs - end of story. What frustrated me most was the number of times Argentina got a decent break and the player with the ball had no support whatsoever. It's been a feature of the tournament with them - they simply don't get enough players forward when it's most needed.

You might (yes MIGHT) be able to put up an argument to say they were the best defensive side in the torunament given their stats in the knock out phase but they didn't take enough risks up front - Germany did.

Bet 365 did an offer where all bets on the winner of the cup were refunded if they lost on penalties. Just before the goal went in I was thinking that at least I'd not lost any money

The krauts had 3 or four on target. One of them aff the widwork and one went in (taken brilliantly too)

He also had probably their best chance when he lobbed the keeper instead of hitting it hard and low

You'd have to take corners into account as well would you not? There were a few decent German blocks when it was looking dangerous.

Forget i said that and chalk it up as a fail - thought they'd had more than 3 corners

 

Chances not on target are irrelevant regardless of how gilt edged - coulda/woulda/shoulda - ifs and buts and what ifs. I could balloon chances high and wide all day.

Chances on target are of consequence - it's either a save, aff the widwork, or a goal.

The Argies had zero on target.

The krauts had 3 or 4 on target.

The krauts win deservedly.
