I don't know the man, don't even know how to pronounce his name but if he can reasonably expect to fall into the 10+ goals per season category then he's worth it (and would either strengthen a good looking set of forward options if Remy stays or cushion the blow if he goes).
This is a tastey bit of business. IKnow he had a few injury problems this season but the goal record speaks for itself.
I admittedly haven't seen much of him, but he's a good age, been playing in the Champions League and I'm sure he'll be a good addition to the squad if he signs.

24 goals in 3 seasons in the Dutch league doesn't sound very exciting. How many games has he played? Decent goals per game scoring ratio at international level.
Altidore is one of the worst CFs ever in the PL,he is shocking. He could dive out of a boat and miss the sea.
