The mirror is saying that the hold up on Dawson is from Dawson and not Spurs. They claim that Dawson has been given permission to speak to us but the hold up is because Dawson wants a 4 year deal and we are unwilling to give him one.

I thought that was always the case? He wants four and without a relegation clause.

That was the original story but days later a bunch of articles claimed the hold up was with Spurs.

 

2 years and a relegation clause

 

They narrowly lost the FA youth cup final against Chelsea a couple of weeks after we played them at the Cottage.

 

I watch most of their games on TV and they certainly have some talented youngsters.

 

Nobody in their right mind will offer Dawson a four year deal so IF that's true then it's not likely to be a deal breaker. At his age he won't get that anywhere. Soon as he realises it then we're into a different negotiation on the front foot.

 

get the impression that he'd rather warm spurs bench than move anywhere, as it been said nobody is going to give him a 4yrs deal with no relegation clause in it, and certainly not us after the last time(Bullard).

 

The Dawson transfer is taking way too long, if reports are correct about him being unwilling to sign the contract we've offered him because he wants 4 years then we should move on. Bid the same money on that lad at Forrest and/or the kid at Sheffield United instead.

 

Yep, I'm rapidly cooling on Dawson, and I wasn't that keen to start with.

I've just heard Swansea are willing to sell Shelvey for £9m and Palacea are interested.

Now there's a player I'd have loved us to have signed, he'd have been excellent for us. Far better than either Livermore or Snodgrass IMO.

I'd take him on a loan....but there must be a reason why Liverpool off loaded him and now Swansea want to do the same after one season...he signed on a 4 year deal.
