Maybe someone needs to point out to Woy that Scolari has resigned, and he reached the semi final..... didn't come BOTTOM of his group....
Brazil reach the semis and lose a decent coach, we don't get out of the group stage and keep a **** coach.
There's a difference. Brazil were expected to win the whole thing and we were seen to have a good tournament if we reached the quarters. Plus they lost 7-1 to Germany.
See that's what I think is wrong, we need a manager where there's even just a chance that we'll exceed expectations. Roy just ain't that man.

I agree that he isn't the right man for the job. But to say he fell short of expectations is a little far from the truth. We had a tough group and most people expected us to take it to the last game and possibly advance. IMO he should resign as they FA can't afford to keep paying off managers but I know I wouldn't if I was in his shoes.
I don't know about yours, but my expectations and i would guess most peoples, were certainly higher than getting one point. You say yourself most people expected us to take it to the last game and possibly advance. If thats not falling short i don't know what is. I don't think many people expected us to win it, just put in two or three performances we could all be proud of, and hopefully build on in the near future.
It should certainly be an English manager, it's the international team, everyone from the manage to the kit man should be English, it's a matter of national pride. On expectations, I expected us to piss the group. Uruguay and Italy, as we saw in all their games except for the 2 against us, are really rather ****e at present, Uruguay especially. We just seem to have bad luck that whenever we face a half decent player they have a stormer against us. We weren't great, granted, but it wasn't Roy's fault. He set the teams up well, we played well, we created many chances, the forwards missing sitters and defenders making terrible individual mistakes is not Roy's fault, anyone could be the manager and they wouldn't be able to do anything about that. I'm happy for Roy to carry on for the euros, for a start stability is key, and Roy is getting a good grasp on his better players and allowing younger players to come through and play a part. I was convinced by his squad selection, I was convinced by his team selections, maybe not Rooney on the left, and bar Costa Rica, giving everyone a game wasn't wise, and I was convinced by the way he got them to attack in the blazing heat in Brazil. Besides all that, really, who is there to take over? Our arry? Steve Bruce? Nigel Pearson?
I think Sabella is leaving argentina too. I think I read somewhere that he was resigning as Argies manager regardless if they won or not. (obviously now its not)
Roy Hodgson is the second best payed manager in world football 3.5m a year second to Capello who is on 6m a year. Truly pathetic.
