    Messi player of the tournament?

I'm not a Messi hater but not sure he was the best player in the tournament.

Roger and his double breasted sailor jacket.

I'm up at 6 but might have a night cap.

    Why not?

It was definitely Müller, Neymar a close second I'd say.

Doubly annoying as I nearly stuck Messi as golden ball winner but chickened out and stuck him as top scorer instead at the same odds. I thought he'd score a tonne in the group stage.

The Falkland Island's Twitter account- or someone called that- posted "don't cry for us Argentina" shortly after the final.

How the hell did Messi get the best player at the tournament? He's been average since the round of 16.

    GTF.

If you're going to wear an Irish it wouldn't be as brazen as that bastard.

    Mind you Agassi did.

    Needs clarification.

How Messi got the best player in the tournament I have no idea, good but nothing more.

Germany deserve to win, the Argies just tried to hit them on the break, but the German's tried to win it and did.

    Schweinsteiger and Boateng were outstanding.

    Kinnel, it you're right.

I feel a mug for not seeing it before now.

If I lose my hair I'm getting a wig like John.

Never seen it and not going to start watching it now.

Too late and I'm not keen on Nicolas Cage.

I shall bid you a fond goodnight, the hay is about to be hit.

True, but the 2 players most respected as the best ever, Maradona and Pele both won the world cup, and for me the best player of the last 20 years, Zidane did the same. The players you have listed as well as Messi were unbelievably good, but winning a world cup as your teams best player is what slightly separates the other 3
