I'm better at crossing and corners than Luke! The boy was fantastic but dear lord he had no end product at all.

Well, if he's behind Shaw, and Shaw plays all the time, inevitably he stays behind Shaw. I'm not sure what the problem is there. There was the possible scenario that if Shaw had stayed then Targett's career may have been blighted by lack of playing, with his possible departure to improve himself.
Shaw's departure removed that problem. Targett will now get his chance and soon everyone will be talking about yet another Saints starlet.
Personally, I hope he's brilliant without being a potential world-beater. We might keep hold of him then. :)

But Targett actually knows he is a lb and doesn't drift about leaving a huge gap. :p

A football dressing room can be a funny place though. You never know what banter might go on and make the atmosphere great... I can imagine Prowsey walking in and giving it, "Ay all right lad, calm down"

It's good that he's there and not got his mum to write a sick note, unlike some other players we could mention.

That's why he wanted to leave. He was only getting batter from team croatia.

I watched Targett playing for England U19s recently and was impressed.
Defensively astute, positioning good and tackles hard. Surprisingly good in the air for someone probably only 5'9".
Distribution from the back very good and very good at crossing etc when attacking.
My only concern was his physical strength against EPL players in a similar way I was about Luke in his first year. Personally I would have him in the gym in the afternoon on the weights to build up his upper body muscle to help him cope with the physical nature of the league.

Basically how I feel. It's the reason why I would slowly integrate him into the team. So back up this season for me.

Another thing I thought of is. If Lovren stays it will mean Fonte being on the bench...

He is already training with the first team and was on the bench at the tail end of last season, this maybe time to make an impression and step up (along with Prowsey and Harry Reed)
Don't forget that we have Nat Clyne who proved that he is not too shabby at LB too. I don't expect us to make a high profile LB signing, but I do expect a quality CB and Keeper to come in.

I hate the idea of Clyne playing lb. I don't get why people keep ssying it. I can see a lb being brought in to be first choice.

Guan2.0 has put a video up saying everything is rosie on the transfer front.

Doesn't seem to be in any pics of the squad heading to Belgium.

Great to see Billy Sharp in there though!

Why not?, it's an option, there isn't much to choose between him and Chambers at RB, it would be stupid not to exploit a player's versatility if he can play in that position when required.
