    An interesting snippet on what Cabella may be costing us in terms of the transfer fee:


    Nicollin valued Cabella at €15m (£13m) before the World Cup. The Magpies had a €8m (£6.5m) bid rejected in early June.

    L’Equipe says the agreed fee is €10m (£7.9m). The Chronicle says it is closer to the €16m (£12.7m) mark. However nufcfans.co.uk understands the fee to be close to €10m (£8m) rising to €12.5m (£10m) with add-ons.

    Interesting transfer stats - reminds me of when we sold Carroll, Nolan and Enrique. Squad and bank balance both strengthened. Looks like we can soon add Mbiwa to the outgoings, probably for £5m or £6m. Hopefully we'll see a decent CB added to the incoming list, and two good strikers - I'm unsure about Riviere and would much prefer Lacazette, Ba or Remy. It's a shame that trio are all so unlikely.

    I think Cabella was nearly £11m in the end.
    That aside, it's the policy of the club to buy low and sell high as we know and, setting aside Ayoze I think Colback (actual value maybe £4m?), De Jong, Jamaat (will end up nearer £8m) and Cabella are a good trade for Cabaye and Debuchy.
    It's a lot better than Cabs and MD out and loads of 'no mark' signings in..
