I know there is talk of Vidal leaving Juve and Juve have admitted they can't keep Pogba or Vidal if a big bid is made, as they don't have the financial power to turn down bids so I would be surprised if both are at Juve, so they will need a replacement but Paulinho doesn't strike me as someone who could replace either. Yet if Juve want him for 20 million then I would sell. but sounds like gossip to me.

I agree, Paulinho seems to get worse every time I see him play, he has not really shown either any attacking, defensive or creative qualities. I am amazed he gets into the Brazil squad, we have definitely signed a dud here and he is the only one of last summers arrivals I would not be bothered to see leave, for £20m Levy should drive him there himself!

agree. The other players in his position seem to have attributes that stand out, even if those players could do with some coaching to improve. Paulinho seems to be a bit of an all-rounder, who's distinctly average at everything. Even though we need a player maker IMO, I wouldn't be massively disappointed if we didn't get one, seeing as we're very overstocked in midfield. A £20m sale and the purchase of a striker would be good business, which would then give the likes of Holtby and Carroll more of a chance of showing what they've got.

Paulinho has never quite been the right fit for us and I wholeheartedly agree with Roo, Billy etc. - players like Dembele we know are limited in some respects but do some things very well, whereas Paulinho just doesn't offer anything more than any of them in his averageness. If some madman somewhere is willing to offer £20 mill, even after his dire, dire World Cup then Levy should do everything in his power to offload. Quite how we'd be making a £3 mill profit on him beggars belief. He's potentially a very good player - indeed he was for Brazil last year and presumably showed form at his club in Brazil - but I'm going to stick my neck out and say that he's never going to make it with us. Maybe he will elsewhere.

Cue him coming back this season, scoring 20 goals and winning us silverware (hopefully!).

Transfers really shouldn't be just about the current team: trading players at a profit creates resources that can be used to buy better players for the team. We've got too many players so selling six or seven and buying two or three or fewer sounds about right to me. If Dawson, Livermore, Siggurdsson, Paulinho, Lennon, Ceballos and Falque were to go for around £50m and we topped that up to £60m and brought a top class striker, left back and centre back we'd have a very well balanced squad.

I'm not sure whether I'm happy or not at the prospect of Paulinho staying or going. To me he seems like one of the players who might improve this season as we all hope with Bobby Soldado and Lamela. Frankly 20 mill seems a good sweetener though.

20 Mill is definitely too hard to turn down.

I would spend the 12 needed for Kopalynka

Apparently the club have announced that Ade has malaria and will miss the pre season tour. WTF! I thought there were enough effective immunizing drugs around. Why has he apparently not been using them?

4 weeks to go, Harry Kane and Soldado are our backup to Adebayor. No need to panic Roo <ok>

People of African descent should have greater malaria tolerance than Europeans.
But a new chapter in the Spurs <standard> pantheon has been written. :)

I find it hard to believe anyone would offer £20mill for Paulinho right now.

He looks spent and very low on confidence so I wouldn't go overboard panicking about his World Cup performances. If the club can cash in on him then fair enough but I think we should be giving him a good break and bringing him back slowly, it's not like we're short of midfielders at the moment either.

In a world where Luiz is worth €50m, then anything is possible!

As overpriced as that deal was, Luiz is still a top player and will suit PSG's style very well. Paulinho has a lot of question marks over him right now, we all know Luiz has the confidence to bounce back to his best but whether Paulinho does is another matter.

To my mind, there's no doubt that £50mil, or whatever, is a ridiculous price for Luiz. If he has been bought as a CB, then it's even more ridiculous, he's a defensive liability! What PSG have in mind, I've no idea.
