Six weeks in and we've now reached 61 although the past few days have been very quiet. Still no confirmation of a first new signing...
It says something when this thread slips to the second page! According to the BBC: "Hull City are expected to beat Crystal Palace, QPR and West Ham to the £4m signing of Tottenham defender Michael Dawson." Good. Too old, too slow. [Edit: Following my modest contribution, it has now jumped back to its rightful position at the top of the first page.]
Once would be enough if only to maintain some interest. Is there anybody left in the current squad who still needs to sign up to the dream project? Bit sad if we can't even get them given our fabled team spirit.
From sky sports Hot on the heels of the news about Rio Ferdinand being poised to join QPR, Sky sources have also learned that the Loftus Road club have agreed a fee with Ajax to bring Iceland striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson to the Premier League.

It would be interesting to know, of the 70: 1. How many clubs were actually approached. 2. How many were subject to a formal bid. 3. How many players made it clear that they did not want to come right from the off. 4. How many players/agents have been spoken to after a bid has gone in. 5. How many of the 70 names were just added by journos with a quick "and QPR" in a story about another club's interest in a player.
Rather than create a new thread for this, I'll bung it on here on the basis that there had been speculation that we might have signed him at some stage. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nd-nears-short-term-switch-away-New-York.html If true then rather odd.
