Palace about to sign Steven Caulker for £8m, surely better value for money long term then Dawson at £4/5m

    I thought he was a bit **** last season if I'm honest, I don't think he's worth £8m.

I carnt get my head around why people rate caulker so highly, although the fact he's ending up at palace instead of some of the clubs he's linked with must mean clubs are coming around to my way of thinking :)

Quinn was great in the FA Cup final in a free role behind Fryatt. No one knew who was supposed to be picking him up. Maybe the FA Cup final taught us that we need to vary our system sometimes and maybe against the top PL teams we should go with a 3-5-1-1.

Agree with all of that especially the last bit but I suspect Aluko and Ince will be vying for that position in those games.

Aluko will have to lift his game and improve his attitude to even make the bench. Aluko isn't a team player, he plays for his own gratification. Not a big fan of his

Unbelievably over priced. He was completely at sea in a terrible Cardiff back line last season. If they hadn't had Marshall behind them the goals against would have doubled. Pulis must have been listening to Hodgson. Caulker is slow, poor in the air, and his marking ability is non existent. I wouldn't pay 2 mill. for him. Dawson at 4 mill. would be a bargain in comparison.

Have you watched him? His pace and ability in the air are probably the two strongest points to his game. As proved by his 6 goals last season,

Caulker is ****e, there's no point saying he stood out in a poor Cardiff defence and using it as praise, he stood out because he was crap and let loads of goals in. We're lucky, we have a very solid defence and a reliable goalkeeper, Cardiff only have a reliable goalkeeper.

A slightly quirky anecdotal story from the Physical
    Instructor at the club.

Ben Amos' On his transfer, requested a House, e.t.c

In his Contractual Arrangrment. blah blah. The club sent a Rep out with Big Ben
to look at the Gaff. On seeing the furnishings, There was a. T.V - Bed. all t

he mod cons. So the Rep , Is about to take off & leave Ben

to settle In. Only for Ben, to say , He wanted a big flat screen. At which,

The Rep, dashed To GO GET 1. On his return from ASDA, Ben noticed there

was NO bedding. So the REP, trekked to ASDA. On his return. The Rep threw the bedding lot , down & Went to leave, saying Ben should be at the training ground, the next morning. When then Ben

said that " How am I going to sleep. The Beds not made". & asked the REP, too.

Which brought the reply " For Christ Sake - Ben I am not bloody making your Bed for You. Make It

Your Bloody self". " Your only a bloody footballer"

What a diva. I wonder if this goes on a lot , during a players demands.

Exactly, he's a very good centre back, it's just fashionable to slate him.
