Not today, but AFAIK - there's a deal for one close. But again, the name doesn't appear to have broken public yet.
I remember after we went up to the Prem and the 11-12 Football League finances started coming out, we came in 3rd or 4th for player salaries. "Oh of course they went straight up, they were spending more". Wrong - the causation is the other way. Players were (rightly) earning bigger bonuses because we got promoted.
I haven't even been given the name myself, just been told that Koeman knows who he wants and it's not far away from being complete. I was slightly disappointed that nobody at the press conference asked him about a replacement for Shaw/Fox.
Twas a very interesting press conference from that point of view. The press have already decided that we are falling apart and seem to be focussing only on departures, while completely ruling out any possibility that we actually plan to kick on further from here even if at a slower pace than before. Upside of this though is that the club can get on with the incoming deals with less speculation/distraction.
