I had the dubious pleasure of sitting in a bar in a relatively prosperous area of east belfast last night.
A middle aged chunky around the midriff man who wasn't even drunk climbed onto a chair -
carefully took down the world cup bunting-
produced a pair of scissors -
and removed the ivory coast flag -

then stuck the bunting back up

what a pathetic expression of his culture!
this place is totally ****ed and living in the dark ages

My local is an irish pub and they had most of the flags up for the world cup. Being a piss taker the owner replaced the England flag with the union flag so eevry **** in the pub was beeling. Poor bar staff were being driven mad by it!

No - as far as i am aware there is no such nationality as Oirish. I mean a pub which is based in England but owned by Irish people. Stop being such a pedant

Fine - don't drink in pubs that are based in England but run or owned by people from Ireland then. It isn't compulsory and I'm sure your absence won't be lamented.
