Not one signing has been made that is because we have champions league. In fact because we have champions league some of the signings shouldn't have been made.
It doesn't scream Downing to me. I'm glad we got Lallana - bit overpriced but he'll fit into our system perfectly. There's no point spending 25mil on a player that will take a year or so to adjust, and possibly not be able to adjust - for me he's a perfect fit, and I expect with better players round him he'll excel. I don't think he's anywhere near his peak yet either, quite possibly one of these players that peaks at 28 or 29. The day we signed Downing was a painful day
no idea on our targets or who we are likely to be linked with, but i am hoping so far we have got squad players in, ie Lambert to rotate with studge, Lallana for mid and Can for Gerrard. maybe some of the players we could be looking at will be on hols, ie players who have only just finished the world cup or some that still have a final to play. whatever the reason i hope to **** we are now looking at getting players in who will be automatic starter and the person they replace then becomes the backup option or rotate, so far players we have got do not force themselves into the first team and as others have rightly said we could have got these ****ers probably with no European football of any kind, so we must be looking or getting better surely.
The windows still open we have cash to spend - often we don't hear anything until the deal is done (e.g. Coutinho, very little was said). Lets be optimistic that Brod has something up his sleeve. Our business is not finished - now time for the big boys to arrive #ihope
Forget Hummels and Reus, we will sign Davies and Bony. I actually feel like the bitters could have made all these signings. In all seriousness we have been linked to those two even more today.
