Don't disagree with anything you say. I understand Brighton's evaluation; as I said, they don't want to sell hence the hands-off evaluation. But we have to do what is best for us not what is best for Brighton. As is clear from you're own summary on the player, he is anything but a sure bet to cut it in the Prem, and that's what I'd want for £8m. After tonight's development, I think it's time to move on.
Yep I doubt Pearson will advise Terry Robinson to go back again. Time to move on to other options I think. I'm sure Ulloa won't be happy if reports that he wanted to be allowed to leave are true. Oh well not our problem!!
The rejected bid appears to be £6.25 and is not necessarily our final bit according to the local paper ... http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/11334066._/ ... we seem quite determined on this and with the player now obviously favouring a move I would not be surprised to see a deal done for circa £7million
4th bid turned down - time to move on to Mr Wickham now then, before this turns into another Maynard saga.
Why does NP seem to have a hardon for Ulloa? Was crap the last few times I saw him and his scoring record isn't brilliant either.
16 goals from open play in 2013/14 ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIZ_wEEkL8U I'm a fan - we have very effective wide men and this is a 'proper' centre forward... he brings a formidable arial threat and centre-halves will hate him ... which, in a nutshell, answers your first line query - suspect NP Wes and Was have had some in-depth discussions about the lad ...
I'd rather Ulloa than Wickham, we can't rely on someone as young as Wickham to keep us up next season.
http://www.givemesport.com/484992-leonardo-ulloa-would-be-perfect-for-leicester-city?autoplay=on ... pretty much my thoughts - I get the impression that we are seriously interested in this guy and it could now be just some tweaking for the parties to agree a deal ... we'll see in due course.
I'm currently on a work placement year in Brighton and my boss is a Brighton STH. He really rates Ulloa and says that if he wasn't out for half the season and had our service he would've easily have scored 25 goals. Having watched a bit of Brighton this year I wouldn't disagree, good touch, brings others into play and has the power and technique to score what few chances come his way. I think the 7.5m quoted includes all the extras. I think BHA are holding out for Ulloa to hand in a transfer request so they can save c10% which is a clause in his contract I'm lead to believe. It'd be a good signing if true, although I really want Wood to be given a chance!
Wow. Pearson must rate this guy... at least, I hope it is Pearson behind this. Brighton value him at £10m. Lol. They really don't want to sell.
As I mentioned earlier - I think Nige was most impressed by his performances against us - he is a real handful for defenders and some of the prissy PL centre-halves will hate playing against him ... I really want us to get him ... am convinced that if he stays injury free he will notch double figures from open play ...
According to the mercury we about to bid 7M and it also says this However, City are said to be confident they can eventually get the deal done but, having identified Ulloa as their number one transfer target, they are prepared to wait.
Should we have a go? @SkySportsPeteO: Burnley striker Danny Ings insists he is committed to the club despite only having a year left on his contract. #twitterclarets
